Brian G. Paul is the Co-Managing Partner at Szaferman, Lakind and a highly accomplished matrimonial and appellate attorney. With nearly 30 years of experience, he has earned a reputation throughout New Jersey as an expert in divorce, family law, and appeals.

With vast experience litigating complex family law issues, Brian specializes in litigating, mediating, and arbitrating high net worth divorce cases. He is frequently sought to serve as an arbitrator, mediator, or co-counsel in such cases.
A significant part of Brian’s practice involves handling all types of divorce and family law appeals before New Jersey’s Appellate courts. He has been involved in numerous appellate cases that have shaped New Jersey family law, and his efforts have been recognized by the New Jersey State Bar Association. Brian has been awarded the Amicus Curiae Award seven times for his efforts in representing and advocating the New Jersey State Bar Association’s position on family law cases before the New Jersey Supreme Court.
Brian received his Juris Doctor from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware, where he was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for his superior skills in Legal Research and Writing. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Rutgers College in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Brian presently serves as co-Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association’s Amicus Committee and is an active member of the Family Law Executive Committee.
