I remember sitting in Ryann's office and saying "What if we just get on a plane, go home, and forget about all of this?" We had just lost my brother-in-law, way too young and totally unexpectedly. He left no final wishes, no trust, no will, a business and many loose ends. It was so overwhelming, we ...didn't know where to begin. We lived in Arizona, while my brother-in-law lived in NJ, so that made everything even more daunting. Now that I think of it, once we hired Ryann, we really did get on a plane and go back home and we left everything in her capable hands while we dealt with the grief of losing our family member. She took care of EVERYTHING... from clearing out and selling his home, making sure to ship us things of sentimental value, sorting out accounts, taking care of the all the taxes, etc. All the while, she would keep in touch and let me know that status of everything. Ryann is extremely knowledgeable, professional and compassionate. Hiring her was the best decision I could have made in the midst of this awful situation. Without her, I don't know what we would have done.

When my wife suddenly passed away in 2017, our Trust written in 2004 had to be updated in several areas. Ryann diligently studied our Trust documents and proposed specific actions for updates and revisions. Examples include retitling of assets, consolidation of financial accounts, transfer of assets... not previously included in the Trust, preparation and filing of Federal and State estate inheritance tax forms, notifications of all beneficiaries and heirs in law designated in my wife's Will. Ryann expertly and systematically executed the entire program and provided an invaluable guidance to me as trustee on how to handle many specific issues of the estate. Without her expertise, knowledge of the estate law and sound advise, I wouldn't be to perform my duties as trustee of our estate. Ryann was very responsive to all my queries and promptly addressed any issues. As a result, all my estate matters were resolved efficiently. I'm very grateful that Ryann was my attorney.

I used this attorney when applying for Medicaid assistance for my mother. Any one that has gone through this process knows the mountain of records that is required to be submitted when the application is filed. Ryann was quite familiar with the process and requested from me all the pertinent financ...ial records, asset information, and personal records needed. I worked quite well with Ryann, she was very thorough and the process went smoothly. After the Medicaid approvals were obtained, I also hired Ryann when the first yearly follow up to the Medicaid approval process had to filed. I was very pleased with all the work that Ryann had done for me, and would have no concerns about using her for any future services that are in her area of legal expertise.

We came to Ryann at a difficult time, after the death of a parent, when we needed to figure out how to handle a very complex estate, a living trust, and elder care situation with a surviving parent in need of care. Ryann walked through the existing Trust, explaining what it meant and exactly what n...eeded to be done to handle the estate and move assets to the Trust. Ryann helped us with the Power of Attorney for the surviving parent as well as update of the documents. Ryann was very knowledgeable and helped us understand how to execute all of the steps necessary for the estate and managing assets to move to the Trust. Ryann handled probate, the retitle of the residence, the creation of a medicaid planning trust, for which she also provided expert legal advice. She easily handled the estate taxes, which were also very complicated, and explained very clearly what was documented and what it meant to the estate. Ryann also recommended other lawyers for 2 situations that required special handling, for which she felt others could better serve us. I think she is an outstanding lawyer, who is very thorough and truly helpful and able to work on even the most complex and trying estates.
