Mr. Spielberger has been my attorney for purchasing my new home. In the process of purchasing, I think the work of Mr. Spielberger is just fair. He followed the normal step to provide us all the necessary documents. However, while reviewing the closing disclosure, I have to understand the amount in ...each item and figure out whether they are correct by myself (I spent a lot of time on talking to different company providing the number). The tittle company used by the attorney is not very expansive but also not a good price. One more poor thing is that the attorney doesn't have any intention to help me achieve more benefit. For instance, the previous home owner need to rent back the house since they can not move out on time. In the rent back contract, the attorney just provide an amount from their estimation which never discussed with me. When I followed the convention to ask for a higher rent amount, the attorney refused my suggestion and didn't like to make any attempt to negotiate with the original home owner and help me get more benefit. In some sense, I finally have to agree with his number in order to close this purchase. The experience of working with him is not quite good. But fortunately, I didn't meet any big problem when I worked with him for my new home purchase.

the 2nd time he blew me off... i had an extremely time sensitive contract issue that i needed resolved, but he was far too busy (again) to return even an email. i contacted him on a Tuesday, then again Thursday. finally heard back from him at 10pm on a Friday night. That left me exposed to a serious ...default situation. When i sent him a letter to let him know i was displeased with his non responsiveness and asked him to contact the other party asap to modify the contract or enlist the help of someone from his office to act, he responded immediately... but only to let me know that he didn't like the tone of the letter i sent him. he said, "you either know who i am and are happy, or you can pick another attorney". he just confirmed who he was...Hello, Lawyer Referral Service? keep your eye on the ball counselor. you're a service provider. it's not at all about you.
