I am a first time home/condo owner in this country. I had this unique situation where my seller did not hire a lawyer and was doing things he was not supposed to do (like taking attachments from the walls. taking shower head etc). To muddy the water further, his real estate agent did not show any act...ive participation in the whole process. Mike and his assistant, Tammy, helped me get through the whole process even though the whole negotiation was stuck for a good 2-3 hrs before closing because the seller was unwilling cooperate much to everyone's frustration despite the fact that it was completely obvious that seller failed to honor certain clauses in the contract Another point I have seen with Mike is that he responded to my emails beyond office hours. We ended up changing banks in the last minute ( a few days before closing) and had a lot of questions. That is when I could see his responses coming in late at night. Very sincere guy. Doesn't talk too much unnecessarily. He thinks well about the situation at hand before he advises. He answers to the point.

the 2nd time he blew me off... i had an extremely time sensitive contract issue that i needed resolved, but he was far too busy (again) to return even an email. i contacted him on a Tuesday, then again Thursday. finally heard back from him at 10pm on a Friday night. That left me exposed to a serious ...default situation. When i sent him a letter to let him know i was displeased with his non responsiveness and asked him to contact the other party asap to modify the contract or enlist the help of someone from his office to act, he responded immediately... but only to let me know that he didn't like the tone of the letter i sent him. he said, "you either know who i am and are happy, or you can pick another attorney". he just confirmed who he was...Hello, Lawyer Referral Service? keep your eye on the ball counselor. you're a service provider. it's not at all about you.
