I contacted Ms. Freeman about an IEP issue. She did a great job fighting for my son. She is, by far, the most experienced education lawyer in New Jersey.

After years of struggling academically and socially in the public school, it became evident that our son needed an out-of-district placement. Our school district continually failed to provide a FAPE and after limited progress with one attorney, we sought help from Hillary Freeman.
Hillary was able to help us sort through the issues we were faced with and helped us to maintain a clear focus. Our district continued to be unwilling to work with us and we had to go through due process.
Although due process was an extremely difficult thing to have to go through, Hillary did an outstanding job with all of the details of our case and presented them clearly to the OAL judge. The judge determined that the district continually failed to provide a FAPE. We had an extremely favorable outcome from the due process hearing.
During the process, Hillary took the time to get to know our son and our family. She is smart, detail-oriented, realistic, and caring.

Hillary Freeman provided peace to our daughter with Down Syndrome and our entire family. Her expertise our beyond other lawyers within this field. She provides clear guidance, strong understanding of the law, and emotional support during these hard times. Our family is thankful for the fight which Hillary took on as her own family member and with the care she had for our daughters rights.

Throughout our recent battle to get our severely autistic daughter to stay in her residential placement, Hillary provided us with exactly the help we needed. She sat by my side at some very stressful meetings and never hesitated to jump in and fight for my daughter's needs. She is tough! As a parent, it is sometimes very difficult to keep your emotions in check in these situations and really think clearly. I always felt that Hillary was truly fighting for us. She is extremely knowledgeable and compassionate and did not hesitate to express her personal opinions, even if they sometimes differed from mine. I always felt that she had my daughter's best interests at heart. I highly recommend Hillary and would and will continue to work with her for any other issues that may arise.

She has achieved wonderful results for us. We would highly recommend her to anyone looking an attorney in this specialty.

Hillary Freeman repeatedly did not return phone calls or email messages regarding my case. I had an IEP and needed to know the next step with the deadline approaching, and she never called me back. She and another attorney said they would review my insurance policy to determine if ABA school tuition would be covered, charged me for the research time, but never told me the findings until I disputed the charge. Having to find a new attorney was costly and inconvenient. I would not recommend Hillary Freeman.

Hillary was a wonderful resource to my family in dealing with the school system for my autistic youngster. I really needed guidance with getting services. Hillary met with my husband and myself, explained the process, and even accompanied us to the meetings with the school system. She was patient, very understanding of the turmoil we were going through, and always available. Without her help, we would still be fighting with our district. Our case is now ended and we are so pleased that our child is benefiting from her expertise. I highly recommend Ms. Freeman and plan to continue to use her for future needs for our child.

I am a behaviorist that has had to refer families to Hillary in order for them to obtain appropriate services for their child. After 20 years working in the field, I have helped clients who have worked with a variety of lawyers and I can honestly say that none are as reliably helpful and productive as Hillary. families know they can count on her to get the best for their child, and the peace of mind is extremely valuable. She has helped direct multiple families I work with for free, and helps them see less costly options before pursuing litigation. I recommend her without hesitation.
