Mark H. Jaffe

When selecting an attorney, there are certain qualities to look out for. Qualities such as intellect, amiability and charisma are critical for the successful litigator, and as such their presence of lack thereof should be considered when choosing representation . Many attorneys exhibit such traits, a...nd so does Mark Jaffe. However, in this day and age, qualities such as these are no longer the exception, they are the rule, and as such are simply not enough. Mr. Jaffes wealth comes in the form of experience, and his 20+ years of practicing law has allowed him to foster positive working relationships with his colleagues in the courts and law enforcement agencies. When I first came across Mark Jaffe he struck me as a brilliant, smart and able young man. He is very organized, very freindly and very charming and sensitive with regard to how he treats his Clients. He does not lie. He is not a pokerface. I first turneed to Mark when I was knee deep in a lot of leg...al problems. Every other lawyer told me the case was unwinnable and turned me down but Mark was willing to take a look at it from a fresh perspective that you can only see in a briliant, self-assertive and confident proffessional. Mark H. Jaffe, Attorney at Law---An exceptionally fine defense attorney On behalf of my wife and myself I would like to express our gratitude and admiration for Mark Jaffe. My wife, distracted by reports of Hurricane Sandy bearing down on us and in view of Governor Christie’s declaration that d...ay of a state of emergency in our state inadvertently violated an unpublicized and virtually unknown traffic law. She was given multiple citations and treated by the policeman in what we considered a disrespectful and totally inappropriate way. Having no experience with the court system and at a loss as to what to do we retained Mark Jaffe. With very little notice and the hearing scheduled for the very next day he met with us, comforted us greatly, explained our situation clearly to us in terms we could understand and outlined his strategy for our defense. At the hearing the next day this matter, which could have gotten a lot more serious, was resolved with only a very small penalty for us---an accomplishment that would have certainly been impossible were we to represent ourselves. Looking back on our highly productive association with Mark Jaffe we can say with no reservations that he is a very fine defense lawyer with a great depth of experience on both prosecution and defense sides of the law, solid connections with relevant law enforcement personnel and an understanding of how to empower potential defendants to feel not intimidated but proud of their rights as Americans. After making the biggest mistake of my life and putting my family and career in jeopardy, Mark Jaffe took control and delivered a result other attorneys thought was foolish optimism. I live in NY and was told by three attorneys I would lose all driving priveleges for at least 7 months. That would h...ave ended my career. Mark took the time to dig deep into the facts of the case, worked endlessy to contact everyone involved and convince them to look at the case from his point of view. His diligence and persistance paid off as I only lost driving privileges in NJ. Obviously the result is crucial to a clients happiness, but even more important with Mark is his passion and ability to soothe his clients fears. With things hanging in the balance, Mark's constant communication prevented this matter from consuming me while it was worked out.
