Oustanding, Intelligent and Dynamic = MARK JAFFE!

Mark Jaffe is absolutely fantastic. He changed my whole perspective on how lawyers can really be. I've known him for several years and couldn't be happier. He is loyal and one of the most caring lawyers I know. He is the Go 2 Guy for Rutgers University students. He has helped all my friends in the...ir cases and everyone walks out of court satisfied with his help. Mark Jaffe is a lawyer that works with you. His knowledge of the court system is impressive and he is reliable and is there WHENEVER you need him. He responds to emails quick and is just a phone call away. Mark Jaffe provides free phone consultations to everyone which is such a great help to us college students. Mark Jaffe is dynamic and as a former prosecutor he knows everyone. He honestly is a very knowledgeable lawyer that is patient yet he doesn't waste a minute of your time. He is hardworking and so is his staff. His staff is friendly and also ready to assist you in your matters. Everyone in the court system is familiar with Mark Jaffe, so I highly recommend him. I would not go to any other lawyer beside Mark Jaffe only because he is guaranteed to give you results. With 28 years of experience, he knows everything and can help anyone.

2 Traffic Tickets Case

Here are the facts: Issue - I received two traffic violations in Plainsboro Twp in my way to work. Between them I was looking at 10 points, over a thousand dollars in fines, potential (almost certain) license suspension, NJM insurance loss and subsequent insurance premium increases. Outcome - 2... points (which I can remove with the safe driving course), $360 fine, my license in my wallet and keep my NJM insurance. Success Factors - Mark was very clear about the situation, Mark was reliable and dependable, Mark's networking with this court is outstanding, Mark's strategy during court day was spot on, Mark delivered exactly what he promised. I'm happy with Mark's performance and professional support during this case and I will recommend him to anyone in the same situation I was. One last note. Don't be misguided by Mark's unconventional style, he is different from other lawyers. iPad mini's, Ferragamo glasses, tailored suits and alligator shoes don't win cases... dedication, experience and networking does.

Excellent Attorney/Highly Recommended

I am writing this testimonial for Mark H. Jaffe, because I know that he is a dynamic and superb lawyer for myself and many others I have recommended him to. I am a psychotherapist in Princeton who first met Mark several years ago when I had a minor traffic matter that he successfully handled for me ...- locally. He is very passionate and devoted to defense work and ensures that clients are well served by both he and his highly efficient staff. I have known him for over 15 years and he is certainly a very hard working, intelligent, and conscientious professional. He is the kind of attorney that really wants to make his clients feel good about their particular case and seeks successful resolution for each. He is above all empathetic and does not shy away from fighting for the underdog. Mark is also quite savvy in that he has built a solid positive relationship with local Courts and police officials /prosecutors that place him in a good position to help his clients. In other words- Prosecutors will listen to what he has to say and in the complex legal community - this rapport can help someone who is accused. Mark is an excellent lawyer. I highly recommended him!

Hardworking, detail-oriented advocate with great customer service. Highly recommended!

In short, it MATTERS who you choose to represent you in a court. In retrospect, this statement is self-evident, but I learned this fact the hard way. After receiving a significant speeding ticket, I hired a large firm out of the phonebook. I chose poorly. The attorney (who I’d never spoken to) wa...s late to court, unprepared to negotiate, was unfamiliar with the facts of my case, and did not advocate strongly on my behalf. It was at that point that I parted ways with this firm and hired Mark Jaffe. I chose wisely! My experience with Mark couldn’t have been more opposite of that described above. Mark and his staff (MarShawn and Zafar) are as competent, courteous, and professional as you could ever hope for. In addition to his staff, Mark himself is easily accessible and was heavily engaged in every detail of my case. The high level of involvement in my case empowered Mark to negotiate aggressively on my behalf and as a result Mark was able to secure a much more favorable outcome than had been originally proposed by the first firm I hired. If you are looking for an attorney who is detail-oriented, easily accessible with a knowledgable staff, and who will work tirelessly to secure the best outcome possible, then retain the services of Mark Jaffe. I would work with Mark again at the drop of a hat.

Top Notch Lawyer - Misdemeanor Drug Charge Dismissed

I was very pleased with the way he worked on my cases. He has been my go-to lawyer for about 5 years. The man works round the clock. He is always available (even at odd hours of the morning). He is always reachable by cell phone and if he is in court, there's always someone in his office that wil...l help. He's in his office until 1am. My last case with him was dismissed which is the best I could have hoped for. Now he is helping me with some issues I'm having in another state and he's doing so as a friend. Mark is a very personable guy. He often invites his clients out for dinner. He also gave me great advice about legal issues that don't pertain to my case. He knows a ton of information about law and life as a whole. He knows what he's talking about and he knows the legal system very well. He's a great guy to know.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2022.

Suspension issued in NJ, 2022

updated on 08/22/2025

Suspension means an attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.

Mark’s comment:

“A reprimand was issued due to a misunderstanding involving parking tickets on a friend’s vehicle I had temporarily used; although I paid my friend for the fines, procedural issues arose because I was not the registered owner, and the court held me responsible despite my good-faith effort to resolve the matter.”

Reprimanded issued in NJ, 2020

updated on 08/22/2025

This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Mark’s comment:

“The reprimand was based solely on not having a written contract in a pro bono case, as I did not believe a formal agreement was required when offering free legal assistance.”

Censure issued in NJ, 2017

updated on 08/22/2025

This means the attorney did something wrong, but the State did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case, the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Mark’s comment:

“While caring for my dying mother, I submitted a rushed expungement in a difficult case involving a mentally impaired client; although the outcome was successful, a complaint was later filed due to the filing’s quality, which led to a reprimand. I then provided a full refund to the client.”

Reprimanded issued in NJ, 2012

updated on 08/22/2025

This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Mark’s comment:

“In a rare case, an interpreter—unknown to me at the time—provided false testimony, which contributed to my reprimand and mistrial; I’ve handled over 14,000 cases with integrity and success, and I remain committed to delivering strong, ethical representation.”
