Oustanding, Intelligent and Dynamic = MARK JAFFE!

Mark Jaffe is absolutely fantastic. He changed my whole perspective on how lawyers can really be. I've known him for several years and couldn't be happier. He is loyal and one of the most caring lawyers I know. He is the Go 2 Guy for Rutgers University students. He has helped all my friends in the...ir cases and everyone walks out of court satisfied with his help. Mark Jaffe is a lawyer that works with you. His knowledge of the court system is impressive and he is reliable and is there WHENEVER you need him. He responds to emails quick and is just a phone call away. Mark Jaffe provides free phone consultations to everyone which is such a great help to us college students. Mark Jaffe is dynamic and as a former prosecutor he knows everyone. He honestly is a very knowledgeable lawyer that is patient yet he doesn't waste a minute of your time. He is hardworking and so is his staff. His staff is friendly and also ready to assist you in your matters. Everyone in the court system is familiar with Mark Jaffe, so I highly recommend him. I would not go to any other lawyer beside Mark Jaffe only because he is guaranteed to give you results. With 28 years of experience, he knows everything and can help anyone.

Best in the business!

Mark Jaffe in one word: outstanding! Yet one word is not enough to describe him. Mark is that rare and special lawyer who goes above and beyond to make sure his clients get 110% from him. Communication with Mark is terrific, he can always be reached and calls you back ASAP when he is unable to talk ...that moment. Mark's vast experience, from court clerk to former prosecutor, make him an excellent choice for a lawyer. He knows the laws, the court system and the best way to defend his clients. He is a lawyer like no other! Prepare to be wowed!!!!

Exceptional Customer Service

I rarely write letters of recommendation for businesses or services I use. Not because my standards are unreachable or that I feel I get great results from most. In the case of Mark H. Jaffe, Attorney at Law, I am compelled to do just that. I engaged Mr. Jaffe for legal assistance with a traffic v...iolation in which I felt was excessive relative to the actual event. From the onset, Mr. Jaffe made himself immediately available (I believe it was on a Saturday afternoon). Over the ensuing few days, Mr. Jaffe not only made the arrangements for my case but spent a considerable amount of time reviewing my options and educating me on aspects of the laws applicable in my case. My “day in court” went without a hitch and Mr. Jaffe delivered on what he promised including a reasonable cost. I was extremely satisfied with his expertise, the respect he carried with the local officials and the efficiency with which he resolved the issues. I was a satisfied customer but it doesn’t end there. A few months later, I needed to confirm the outcome of my case and ask several questions regarding the final decision for other purposes. Mr. Jaffe responded immediately, spent time on the telephone with me and resolved all questions and issues I had. This is Customer Service! I am appreciative to Mr. Jaffe for his dedication and expert counsel. While I hope never to need his services again, I am comfortable in knowing that someone of his high level of service and reliability is there to call on, literally at any time.

Best One stop shop Attorney

After getting two speeding tickets and having to go abroad for school, I contacted Mark Jaffe's office. After speaking with Mark I was at ease with what I was facing. Every time new information came up or a court date was near I was always informed promptly, he knew exactly what to do even though i w...ould be absent for my court date. I never felt hesitant about asking questions, and Mark will reiterate over and over that he wants you to call if you have any questions. Prior to my court dates I was walked through what would happen and was reassured that Mark would take care of everything in the courtroom. He is a straight shooter about how he feels about your case and go through specifics of what he likes and dislikes about it. A very friendly, professional, and caring attorney who will make dealing with the law as easy and smooth as it can possibly be. Even after i messed up again while being on probation, he still made it feel like it was not a problem and it was handled in the very best way.

EXCELLENT LAWYER!

I made an great choice in asking Mark Jaffe to help me. We met several times and he was very patient and clear in explaining the process and picking a lawyer with 26 years of experience was a wise one. The results were great and my whole experience was very positive. He is a terrific guy who really ...understands the law and the the ins and out of the legal system. it was obvious in court that he was very well respected and liked That certainly worked to my advantage. He is a former Prosecutor who was a writer for New York Times for many years. He knows the POWER of words and is a very articulate and dynamic lawyer. He has also become a friend and for that I am grateful to him. Highly recommended. Mark is above all effective and was very generous with offering his time and attention to my case. EXCELLENT LAWYER.

Professional misconduct

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2022.

Suspension issued in NJ, 2022

updated on 08/22/2025

Suspension means an attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.

Mark’s comment:

“A reprimand was issued due to a misunderstanding involving parking tickets on a friend’s vehicle I had temporarily used; although I paid my friend for the fines, procedural issues arose because I was not the registered owner, and the court held me responsible despite my good-faith effort to resolve the matter.”

Reprimanded issued in NJ, 2020

updated on 08/22/2025

This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Mark’s comment:

“The reprimand was based solely on not having a written contract in a pro bono case, as I did not believe a formal agreement was required when offering free legal assistance.”

Censure issued in NJ, 2017

updated on 08/22/2025

This means the attorney did something wrong, but the State did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case, the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Mark’s comment:

“While caring for my dying mother, I submitted a rushed expungement in a difficult case involving a mentally impaired client; although the outcome was successful, a complaint was later filed due to the filing’s quality, which led to a reprimand. I then provided a full refund to the client.”

Reprimanded issued in NJ, 2012

updated on 08/22/2025

This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Mark’s comment:

“In a rare case, an interpreter—unknown to me at the time—provided false testimony, which contributed to my reprimand and mistrial; I’ve handled over 14,000 cases with integrity and success, and I remain committed to delivering strong, ethical representation.”
