Mark H. Jaffe

Mark Jaffe was recommended to our family for his experience and availability. Fact is, I would recommend him for this, plus many other characteristics. First, he is extremely well connected in the Middlesex county NJ court system, and the old saying holds true, "It's who you know." Advising and comi...ng up with the plan, based on knowing the judge and prosecutor, redefines the word critical. You can have right on your side, but that does NOT come close to guaranteeing an outcome. Much more important is "in the streets" experience, blended with preparation and solid communications. The stress of dealing with "the system" can only be minimized if you have an attorney that understands the emotional needs of the defendant and their family. Mark Jaffe is a human being, first and foremost, who is selfless in terms of available time and dedication to his clients. No one should have to face their errors, or a family member's errors, without someone as caring as Mark Jaffe in their corner.

While he is a nice guy who does his best to keep his clients from worrying about their case, he is also completely scatterbrained. Always goes off topic when you are trying to discuss your case, office is very unorganized (run by high school students), and I have a feeling he forgot to file some pap...ers for my case that ultimately led to me having a warrant out for my arrest, followed by 4 days in county jail. Once he realized (or at least that is what my family and I think) that he made a mistake, he actually started doing some work for us, although it will the last time we request his services. Also, he'll get very distracted when you are the phone with him, a lot of the times he just hangs up when he gets another call on the line. Again, a nice guy, but when I am dealing with a lawyer, I'm not looking to make friends. I'm looking to get my court issues resolved in a timely and responsible fashion, something he lacked entirely. Also has a bad reputation in Princeton.

Mr. Jaffe helped me with my case every step of the way and ultimately resolved my case in a dismissal which I was very pleased with and relieved. Mr. Jaffe was available at all hours of the day at my convienience (even weekends) and we met several times to discuss my case, which put me at ease. I hav...e let all my friends know about Mr. Jaffe for their own legal matters and I was very pleased to have him as my lawyer.
