A very good-natured, experienced, and dynamic lawyer

I think of Mark H. Jaffe as a superb lawyer, and I was 100% satisfied with the advice, counsel, and attention he provided for me. He represented me in a municipal Court matter, clearly explaining the options I had. He was always very frank, open, and candid. I was feeling completely confident wh...en I went to court since he had detailed over several meetings( he has open office hours every day of the week) what would happen when we spoke to the police officer and Prosecutor. He gave me both of his cell phone #s - which he always carries with him and he always answered his phone - no matter what time I called. He is simply a amazing lawyer and I feel so lucky to know him. My parents love him too. He is intelligent, good-humored, very arrticulate both in the court and in the office. He zeros in to the exact ways to be sucessful. He knows how to win and I can trust that he knows what he's doing, because he has a tremendous amount of background experience - as a Municipal Prosecutor , as na Assistant County Prosecutor, former Princeton University Prosecutor, and more. What other lawyer is working late every night of the week? Mark is since he wants to make sure that everything he does is done in an excellent manner. He has a dynamic personality - he has such a clarity even in difficult situations and superb confidence that you can just relax and know that you are very well taken care of.I can and have emailed him and he responds almost within seconds. You will be in awe of this guy. Highly recomended He is generous with his time and will always make himself available to speak to him or meet with you at his office. I am so happy that he is my lawyer for life!

Best lawyer in town

Mark is a very good lawyer. He represented me today before the New Brunswick Municipal Court. He downgraded a 2 point ticket with the prosecutor and I only had to pay $89 in fines and court costs. He was assertive and thorough. He saved me money and kept my license clean. Mr. Jaffe is my No Points... attorney.

Top Notch Lawyer -- Highly Recommended

For any matter more serious than contesting a questionable parking ticket, you’d be foolish not to hire an attorney. I’m very pleased to recommend Mark Jaffe, Attorney at Law, as an excellent choice for your advocate in court. He's extremely well qualified, having worked both as a prosecutor and in... defending clients, with experience of more than three decades working for the law, and over 23 years of that working as an Attorney at Law. But what's most important to me, after meeting with him, I feel that he was genuinely concerned to help guide me and my son through my son's first experience with our legal system. We met with Mark Jaffe in his office on a Saturday afternoon. He gave freely of his time, telling us how the law worked and what we should expect as an outcome. He described how he expected the judge and prosecutor would view our case and prepared us for the judgement he believed most likely. He explained the best outcome we should expect within the limitations of the prosecutor's and judge's latitude in administering leniency in the court's punishments and fines. I left his office well satisfied that I'd found someone who could very effectively handle my son's case. On several occasions I collected things I thought might help in handling my son's case and emailed them to Mark Jaffe, often in odd hours of the late night and very early morning. I figured that his legal aid would collect these things the next day ... I received his responses to my emails, often within minutes. I couldn't figure out when or whether he's ever off the clock. [He's quite reachable by phone but I should comment that email is the better way to reach Mark Jaffe, especially for the many simple matters in a case that don't require his immediate attention.] In court, I observed that the judge and prosecutor knew and respected, and seemed to like Mark Jaffe, as did the clerks and bailiffs. My son's case was handled smoothly and fairly by the court and the outcome was exactly as Mark Jaffe predicted. No one can promise you a particular outcome, but Mark Jaffe, with his many years of experience both with the law and the courts where he practices, can inform you of the most likely outcome. He clearly explains the fairest outcome that you can expect given the circumstances of your case, and can guide you past the hidden pitfalls you might otherwise trip over. I feel most fortunate that I retained Mark Jaffe, to represent my son's case in Plainsboro Municipal Court. He's like an old time country doctor, but practising law instead of medicine. He’s easy to contact and there when you need him, expert at the law, expert in court practice, and he cares. So, if you ever need an advocate, I highly recommend Mark Jaffe, Attorney at Law, and will recommend him to my friends should they need an advocate.

Tireless, Professional

A friend recommended Mark to me when I got in trouble with the law. Upon taking my case Mark and his staff treated me like I was their only client even though I understood they had many other cases to attend to. Mark worked tirelessly above and beyond my expectations and allowed me to go about my d...ay to day business instead of spending them in court. His availability to assist you is unmatched in this profession. He was very open to all questions I had for him and had no problem taking my question at my convenience. Mark H Jaffe will do quality work for you with the personal touch to put your worries at ease. He is an excellent lawyer and I will continue to seek his counsel in any potential future matters and I recommend him to anyone with legal issues in Princeton and the Princeton area.

Amazing Attorney, Great Results

Mark Jaffe he has been my attorney for over six years. I’ve always come up on top with his representation. I am on the road often, so I have had my fair share of traffic violations. He's also helped me with other legal matters. Unlike other attorneys, he is accessible at ALL times via email, text, et...c. I’m doubtful he ever does anything, but work. I would use him for ANY criminal case, traffic violation, etc. he is very SMART and a hard worker.

This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority in 2022.

Suspension issued in NJ, 2022

updated on 08/22/2025

Suspension means an attorney lost his or her license to practice law for a period of time. The attorney typically returns to practicing law when the suspension expires.

Mark’s comment:

“A reprimand was issued due to a misunderstanding involving parking tickets on a friend’s vehicle I had temporarily used; although I paid my friend for the fines, procedural issues arose because I was not the registered owner, and the court held me responsible despite my good-faith effort to resolve the matter.”

Reprimanded issued in NJ, 2020

updated on 08/22/2025

This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Mark’s comment:

“The reprimand was based solely on not having a written contract in a pro bono case, as I did not believe a formal agreement was required when offering free legal assistance.”

Censure issued in NJ, 2017

updated on 08/22/2025

This means the attorney did something wrong, but the State did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case, the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the public in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

Mark’s comment:

“While caring for my dying mother, I submitted a rushed expungement in a difficult case involving a mentally impaired client; although the outcome was successful, a complaint was later filed due to the filing’s quality, which led to a reprimand. I then provided a full refund to the client.”

Mark’s comment:

“In a rare case, an interpreter—unknown to me at the time—provided false testimony, which contributed to my reprimand and mistrial; I’ve handled over 14,000 cases with integrity and success, and I remain committed to delivering strong, ethical representation.”
