also known as Allison Heaney
Allison Heaney Lamson was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and later relocated with her parents to New York upon her father's appointment to the New York City Fire Department in 1987.
Allison attended Wesleyan University in Middletown, Connecticut where she majored in psychology and was graduated Phi Beta Kappa in May of 2009. While at Wesleyan, Allison played Division III volleyball and helped found a forensic psychology laboratory.
Immediately thereafter, Allison simultaneously studied at Duke Law School and the Duke University Graduate School for Psychology and Neuroscience. In May 2012, Allison was graduated from Duke University with a Juris Doctor and a Master of Psychology.
Allison served as the law clerk for the Honorable Judge Margaret Goodzeit, the Presiding Judge of the Family Part in Somerset County. Allison's work as a law clerk, background in psychology, and personal experiences inform her practice and allow her to strike the appropriate balance between empathy and realism which she believes all individuals dealing with family disputes need.
Allison has been recognized as a Rising Star by Superlawyers magazine.
Outside of work, Allison loves playing beach and indoor volleyball. Her husband, Sam Lamson, is a naval officer.

"Allison is a competent, no nonsense, practical attorney. You (and your family) will be in great hands!"
"I fully endorse this lawyer. Ally is extremely bright and able to manage cases with a lot of moving parts. She is not only knowledgeable on the law, which is always important, but she has the equally important skill of understanding how the facts and the law translate into the best outcome for a client's day-to-day life. She is aggressive when needed, but also reasonable and creative, two critical, but often undervalued attributes. I would recommend Ally without reservation."
"Ms. Lamson is an incredibly bright and capable attorney. Her clients are undoubtedly well-served, and I recommend her without reservation."
"I wholeheartedly endorse this lawyer. Allison is a knowledgeable, diligent and creative attorney who works tirelessly to obtain a fair and equitable result for her clients. You can reset assured that you are in the best of hands with Ally."
"Allison is a dedicated, knowledgeable, and intelligent matrimonial attorney. She is extremely personable and a consummate professional. I endorse her without hesitation."
