Used this attorney in a central New Jersey court. Problem is, he doesnt show up. he has someone come to court for him. I have a license from a midwestern state. This firm had me plea to an unsafe driving. Unfortunately my state reads this as a reckless and suspended my license! After many calls t...o the office and having them yell at me on the phone, they finally agree to go back to court. They end up telling me that the judge wont change it now and I am stuck with the deal they got me. SO NOW I AM SUSPENDED BY MY HOME STATE. The attorney's job is to know the law and how it will affect my license. I could have went myself aand plead to the charge and not been messed up like this. Total waste of money. I only picked this guy because he was $50 cheaper than someone else. Evidently this guy is just a mailing service and this attorney never comes to court he just hires out others to show up for him. Very angry and disappointed. Now I cant drive for a month.

I hired the Shugar Law Firm to handle my case and they were absolutely awful from the start .Once they received payment for their services they refused to answer questions or take any kind of statement about the matter which they would be defending. I had one attorney tell me that we could email... each other about the case. After that I heard nothing from the firm.The first time that I spoke to an attorney was on my court date. It was very clear to that this person was extremely inexperienced. She couldn't even answer basic questions. Make a long story short, my case was continued so that Court could look Into a program. We were all served with papers to appear on a certain date and they didn't show up.

RUN. Seriously. I received a letter after getting a ticket for driving on the left side in NJ. Being a brand new resident in NJ, I was unaware this was even a law. I contacted Mr. Shugar to handle the matter since I was moving from NJ to Virginia and it has been a nightmare ever since. First, I recei...ved a warrant that added $100 to the ticket amount, bringing the ticket to $295. I paid the lawyer fee of $340, and I requested for the warrant to be removed and I just pay the ticket. He contacts me saying there is nothing he can do, I have to pay the bail. I ask him for the address and how it pay it, he ignored me and then when I emailed, he sends it weeks later. I pay it and he didn't even bother to notify me of anything that is going on, if they removed the warrant or anything. I have to send another email. THEN, because I am out of state, he has to appear for me. I literally have to send emails to ASK what is happening, I am always out of the loop. They gave me a court date (08/08/2017) and then two days a ago I get a notice saying it's been rescheduled for another month out (09/05/2017). I asked him why, he said that's when the court officer is working. I contact the court and they say HE REQUESTED TO CHANGE THE COURT DATE, not that there is no one working like he implied. I will now been going on almost FIVE MONTHS dealing with ONE ticket with a suspended license almost 400 miles away. So, I was better off without a freaking lawyer, honestly because I have done everything myself anyway, and he has done nothing but cause me stress. RUN, AND TAKE YOUR MONEY ELSEWHERE.

I received a ticket for going through a yellow light. On the morning of court they called out names for people to speak with the prosecutor. I was about 25th in line. I heard a voice calling my name, then a person said, "I'm Natalie. I'm your lawyer." She then went to speak to the prosecutor wit...hout waiting in line, In five minutes she came back to tell me that I would get no points, and the fine should not be high. We went into the courtroom and in another five minutes my case was heard. The fine was four dollars more than it would have been if I had paid it and kept the points. The Shugar lawyer made this quick, easy and less expensive that it might have been. Thank you!
