I was a defendant in a civil matter/wrongful termination suit. After consulting with several other attorney's I know personally, I consulted with Kate, and was at ease immediately with her. After giving her a brief background of the case, she agreed to represent me and immediately attempted to negoti...ate a settlement that would protect my interests. After several attempts, including with a mediator to settle the case, counsel for the other party insisted on a trial and left a VERY sizable settlement offer on the table. The case went to trial, and not to brag, but Kate and Co-counsel embarrassed the other party. The writing was on the wall that the judge was about to dismiss the entire case, so the other party agreed to a pittance of a settlement far less than was on the table prior to trial. Needless to say I was very happy with the result and extremely impressed by all the work Kate did on the case. I had the opportunity of being represented by Mrs. Hartman and I was very confident in her counsel. Mrs. Hartman kept me totally informed through out representation and put me at ease with her knowledge of the law concerning my case. She also had a frankness about her, which as you may know is abs...ent from most counsel for whatever reason.
