Heroine

My disabled sister and I were referred to Jane, which was a true blessing! We had just lost our mother, and I had just taken guardianship of my sister. I had no idea what all the government agencies required. In less than 6 months of taking guardianship and beginning all of the changes required by th...e VA. The state was revoking my sister's medical health benefits and disability benefits in thirty days. I was in a panic, not knowing which way to turn. Jane took all of our worries away and acted immediately, stopping the cancellation of my sister's benefits. She helped us secure a Special Needs Trust Fund; and fixed some of our mother's estate issues. She is amazing, professional, kind, compassionate, and always makes time to speak with you if you have questions. She makes you feel like family. I don't know what I would have done without her wisdom, guidance, and diligence. We do not know how to thank her enough! We have made her our family lawyer. I would recommend her for any family issues!

When you want someone who cares - CALL JANE!!!

I was recently involved in a medical crisis/misdiagnosis, I couldn't have been happier that my family found Jane. Jane Was there every step of the way from the first phone call to following up with me and my family even after discharge. She added a personal touch to the experience making the situatio...n a lot calmer and easier on me. Jane will forever be in my back pocket for friends, family and anyone ever dealing with a situation that needs the extra care. Thanks for everything Jane!

Highly recommended!

Not only is Jane extremely knowledgeable, qualified and professional but also caring, compassionate and generous with her time spent with our family. Our family was at a lost as to which way to turn when it came to handling the numerous elder care issues with our mom. Jane's expertise helped guide m...y family through all of the confusion.

Jane is a lifesaver!

As POA for my two elderly parents, both 99 years old, I was shocked when their NJ AL facility, which did not accept Medicaid for AL and where upper mgmt had promised that my parents would qualify for assistance from their benevolence fund, suddenly refused to honor their commitment. My parents we...re outliving their assets. I did not know where to turn. But then I remembered Jane from a prior contact. Thank GOD for Jane being there. She is so organized, knowledgeable, committed to the client, sympathetic and empathetic to the tremendous stress placed on a family when parents age and a crisis develops. Once I consulted with Jane and we discussed the plan to put mom and dad on Medicaid spenddown mode, I felt much more in control of my life again. Jane is extremely thorough. She plans for virtually every possible request from government agencies who are processing the eventual claim and then she plans for anything extra, which may only remotely be requested. But the point is that she and her team were ready for anything that would be thrown at us by Social Services or the State of NJ. Fortunately, I am organized and had many of the required documents and then some. However, I rapidly became a "part" of the team and did as much as I could to provide everything from my parents records and life as possible, so Jane could have all necessary supporting documents. It was not easy. But, it was an education and really taught me a lesson about how difficult that our taxpayer funded government agencies make it for the average person to obtain supposedly "free" benefits, especially when it involves elderly parents. I had acted as POA for 8 yrs and that gave me a good amount of time to become familiar with the finances and support documents that were needed. Jane is very easy to talk with, via phone, video chat, email, or postal mail. She is the consummate professional. Her knowledge of elder law just astounds me. My family was in a tither. But I was the one who was most stressed out during this process, as it ultimately involved me getting a mover, finding a new AL facility (for 99 yr old parents who had lived at the other AL facility for 15 yrs), and then preparing for the actual move and disposal of possessions. This was all while helping Jane and her team by me making calls that only I could make, and scanning hundreds of documents that supported my parents case. I had Jane on retainer for over one year. During that time, we developed a very good working relationship and understanding of what she needed, and what I was able to provide. Honestly, my family and I could not have survived as well as we did without Jane. Jane is a lifesaver. Even after all of this saga, both of my parents died 6 months later after the move to the new AL facility. Who was still there for me to provide guidance with all of the close-out paperwork to remove my parents from the "system"? Jane, of course! If you are in need of a superb, skilled, hardworking, and understanding lawyer, who knows virtually everything you need her to know about elder law, then Jane Fearn-Zimmer is the one for you to retain! NO IFS, ANDS, OR BUTS. Call her! You will be thankful you did. Thanks Jane.
