Facing the High Costs of Long-Term Care? I Can Help.
Are you struggling to support a loved one with Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, dementia, chronic illness, or another degenerative condition? Are they in denial about the care they need, leaving you with difficult decisions? If you’re searching for answers and strategies to fund long-term care, in-home therapies, or other benefits through Medicare and Medicaid, I am here to guide you.
I am deeply experienced in elder law and special needs planning, recently recognized as one of the “Top 20 Women in Law in New Jersey” by the NJ Law Journal. As a Past Chair of the NJ Elder and Disability Law Section of the State Bar Association, the former Editor of Wolters Kluwers' The Elder Law Report, Including Special Needs Planning, and as the President-Elect of the New Jersey Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, I am committed to helping families like yours.
Expertise You Can Trust
As a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), I have extensive experience in:
• Wills, Trusts, and Estates
• Deeds, Powers of Attorney, and Asset Protection
• Medicaid and Medicare Planning
• Veteran's Benefits and Special Needs Trusts
Whether you’re looking for the best care for your loved one or searching for ways to fund it, I can help you navigate public benefits, including Medicaid and SSI. I know how hard you’ve worked to save for the future, and I’m dedicated to helping you protect those assets from overwhelming long-term care costs.
Advocacy and Results
With a personal background as a caregiver, I understand deeply the challenges families face. I have fought for clients in Medicaid Fair Hearings and federal Medicaid litigation, securing wins that allow families to access the care they deserve. Notably:With a personal background as a caregiver, I understand deeply the challenges families face. I have fought for clients in Medicaid Fair Hearings and federal Medicaid litigation, securing wins that allow families to access the care they deserve. Notably:
• In 2012, I won three challenging Medicaid annuity cases against the State of New Jersey and helped to move the needle on the use of Medicaid-friendly annuities in planning.
• In 2018, I won a tough caregiver child exemption case that helped change the Medicaid Caregiver Child Policy in New Jersey and was honored by the New Jersey Law Journal with the Top Women in Law 2018 award.
• In 2024, I fought to invalidate a deed signed by an elderly, incapacitated person, giving away the home for the sum of $10. This deed was invalidated by the Court, and the home was returned to the senior.
.
I bring this same dedication, compassion, and knowledge to every client’s case.
Resources for Caregivers and Families
To further support families, I maintain an Elder & Disability Law Blog, offering information on estate planning, asset protection, Medicaid, and more. While not a substitute for personalized legal advice, the blog provides practical insights and real-world solutions for caregivers navigating the care continuum.

My parents we...
