I hired Nicole as my attorney after reviewing several others. Her straightforward talk mixed with understanding and humor supported me during a difficult time. Her knowledge and patience during this long divorce kept me on track during the stressful dealings with a poor opposing attorney. She basi...cally had to educate the other attorney in family law, since divorce was not his specialty. Her reasonable advice brought this to a settlement conclusion, with minimal damages to both sides. I highly recommend her to anyone who needs family law assistance. My case was complicated and took almost a year. The divorce cost me close to $50K. I was given advice that I could relocate out of state and fight, but it was a waste of my money and not good advice. Going into court I was so nervous and Nicole was extremely friendly with the other side and dropping ..."F" bombs in the hallway. She was extremely unprofessional. She was very compassionate and a good listener, but she did not go to bat for me. She wasn't aggressive enough and the other side walked all over us. She just kept telling me to compromise on issues that were important to me, because my ex husband had more money then me and would bleed us out. My divorce was also wrapped up in a domestic violence case and the outcome of the divorce was disappointing. During the divorce I had to constantly follow up with her to make sure she met deadlines. And when the divorce was done it came out my ex had a couple million hidden in stocks which I would have been entitled to, but I gave it up just because I didn't want the headache of starting another battle-something she should have NEVER have missed during discovery. Then after everything was settled I tried to reach out to her for legal advice when he broke our agreement and nobody called me back-not even her paralegal. Yes, I got divorced-but the process was expensive and the experience was unprofessional and sloppy at best. I know divorce is never easy, but Nicole didn't fight for things that were more important. She had only been a lawyer for 2 years at the time and with the firm for 1. So perhaps she has grown up and learned to not cuss and be friendly with the other side. But if you want someone to fight for what's important to you and not just settle use another attorney.
