“This minor sanction did not involve a Family Law case. In 1999--20 years ago and before my Firm began devoting its practice exclusively to Divorce and Family Law--I unwisely agreed to handle a neighbor's real estate closing. The closing went well, but the neighbor filed a Grievance six (6) years later because my secretary had failed to send her a copy of the Closing Statement. I rectified the oversight as soon as I learned about it.”

“This minor sanction also occurred 16 years ago and also did not involve a Family Law case. It arose out of a small collection matter which I had agreed to handle for a former client before I began devoting my Firm's practice exclusively to Divorce and Family Law. The client and I disagreed about the merits of filing the lawsuit. Unfortunately, I did not document that disagreement in writing. Although I had done some work, I refunded the client's Retainer in full.”
