A true empathetic champion of lawyers

John handled my criminal case where I had a 1st degree case with heavy evidence built against me but still managed to get it downgraded to a 3rd degree. My case was extremely difficult considering I had been a repeat offender and the county sheriff department hated me. Initially the prosecutor wanted... to give me 3 years in prison with no parole. But with John's expertise he was able to get me drug court which is quite an arduous task considering I had a first degree. During this ordeal I was incarcerated and John was a big emotional support for my family and myself. He constantly made trips to visit me to discuss my case and make sure I was doing fine. Even during the gravest moments in my case he always maintained an aura of optimism and hope. Which can be critical for someone facing heavy prosecution. John was constantly on the phone with the prosecutors and making trips to the court on my behalf even though he had many cases to handle. John may be a very experienced lawyer but he still handles each case as passionately as if it were his first. Most lawyers are told not to form attachments to their clients, but John does anyway because he is a kind hearted individual and he will fight for you as if he were fighting for a family member. Having his representation on my case was priceless. If I ever fall into any predicament again I will always go to him. If anyone I know falls into legal tribulations John is always the first person I recommend. Because from first hand experience I know he will fight with the last fiber of his body on whichever case he takes up.

Best possible outcome

I was facing felony drug possession charges as well as a number of traffic tickets and marajuana possession charges from the same arrest. Mr. Valez got my case remanded from superior to municipal court immediately, which took care of the felony charges. I should have lost my driving privileges in N...J as well because of some of the tickets, but Mr. Valez took care of that was well. He got me out of everything with a condional discharge and even managed to reduce my probation from 1 year down to 6 months. He knew the judges and prosecutors personally and has obviously had alot of experience with the NJ court system. I would definitely recommend Mr. Valez to anyone who finds themselves in a similar situation to mine.

Professional, Excellent, Experienced

My case occurred in NJ, as a second time drug related offense. From the start, Mr. Velez never used any scare tactics or set any unrealistic goals and gave me his legal opinion unfettered by any other motive than to help my case and make sure that my future is not ruined. As I currently attend colleg...e, he contacted me frequently and reviewed case related material while on the phone with me and was very respectful of when I was free to talk. In the courthouse, Mr. Velez performed wonders. He is very experienced with these cases and presented my case in the council of the judge and the probation department to help my cause. The results: punishments down to a fine and one-year probation (with my records able to be expunged) from jail time and thousands of dollars in fines. I am very grateful to have found an attorney as experienced and effective as Mr. Velez.

Highly recommend

I was recommended to call John Velez when I needed assistance. I have had issues in the past where I was taken advantage of by law enforcement so I knew I could not move forward without hiring a lawyer. After speaking with John he made me feel so comfortable in upcoming battle. Every single phone cal...l I got from John was great news. Where I was looking at a major charge he was able to take all of my information and use it to get my case dismissed! I have great respect for law enforcement but if you do not know the law and if the charges are serious you must hire someone to fight on your behalf and I would 100% recommend Mr. Velez. Not only will he fight for you but in hiring a lawyer they are able to do things we just are not able to do. Instead of getting 3 different dates just to plead not guilty and then to get another date so you have time to speak to a public defender that only talks to you 10 min the day of court. The public defender may or may not get you a better sentence but if your facing major charges you don't want to take a chance on someone that doesn't have the opportunity to sit and talk with you and guide you through getting all the information you need for court.
