Excellent service

My husband and I needed our wills updated. Mr. Stone met with me to discuss our needs and then met with both of us several times prior to completing our wills. He was professional, respectful, prompt, and fees were very reasonable. Based on this positive experience, we sought his expertise to prep...are our rather complicated tax returns which included several state taxes, a business and personal federal taxes. He was very patient with us, explained each return in detail and with transparency. He completed the work well within the agreed time frame. We will continue to hire Mr. Stone for our legal and tax needs.

One of the knowledgeable Attorneys in NJ

I know Jonathan for many years. He is by far one of the best Attorneys & CPA's in NJ. When it comes to Bankruptcy law and for a CPA, I wouldn't recommend anyone else. Knowledgeable, personable. He treats clients like they are a member of his family.

Shocking

BUYER BEWARE. I hired the law office of Jonathan Stone for a closing. Never met nor spoke with him once as it was all through my realtor. It took forever to attempt to negotiate price after inspections so I just worked through realtors. I informed his office the numbers were inaccurate, they did noth...ing, therefore; closing could not happen. Since closing did not occur I was required to coordinate the closing, determine new numbers so I would not be leaving approx. 2700 on the table, contact all parties involved and travel to a closing 35 miles away on my own! WHY? Because they were on vacation and no one was going to be available? I was informed that they would not attend my closing at the end of the business day on a Friday. Unprofessional and rude in my opinion. Doesn't one hire an attorney to protect your interests? The paralegal just blamed everyone else and had no interest in helping me fix the issues. Also, when I asked days before to have the owners title insurance removed I was told it was required?! When I informed the office that was not the case I was told again that the state of NJ required owners title insurance. It does not. They do not even know the law. If you want to pay 1100 dollars to have someone review a document then go ahead if you want someone who knows the law and will represent you and attend the closing then BUYER BEWARE. I am not a legal profession but it sure felt like I knew more. Scary and shocked.

This buyer used my firm’s services to purchase her home here in Hackettstown. As with any real estate purchase, including hers, last minute changes and adjustments occur, typically with the title company or the mortgage company. More often than not, these are stress inducing events. Anticipated closing dates can change at the last minute which is outside anybody’s control. With this buyer, there were last minute changes requested by her, her title company, as well as her mortgage company. All of these changes caused the closing date to be moved by three days. Due to the last minute change in the closing date, this buyer insisted on a specific date where I had to be in court. This office made arrangements to have her interests fully protected to meet her requested closing date at no additional cost to her. We accommodated all of the last minute changes, arranged for her closing, and thereby ensuring that she received the best possible outcome. Our office provided this buyer with exceptional service. Katherine posted a nearly identical review of another company. I have no doubt that the other firm provided similar excellent services. Her righteous indignation towards others is unfortunate.
