Only Attorney who knew how to file a discharge of tax lien

Marc Capone filed a motion for my wife to have a tax lien removed. We spoke to 3 other attorney's before we hired Marc, and they had no idea how to get this lien off. It took a few months to go through the court, but Marc and his team got it done. He gave us a very reasonable all inclusive price to... get the job done, even though there was some back and forth with the courts. We are very pleased with his service and the outcome.

A very professional and caring Lawyer!

From the very beginning back in 2009, Marc has been very responsive, professional and caring with regards to the details of our case. His knowledge and willingness to be sensitive to client needs is an asset not found in many Lawyers. Marc is the reason we have come through this so well, and I would ...feel comfortable recommending him for any client situation.

Strongly DO NOT Recommend

I strongly urge anyone reading this review, to refrain from retaining the legal services of Marc Capone. I recently retained his services for a Bankruptcy. I was persuaded to pay for services (never rendered) IN FULL. After reluctantly paying over $3000 up front to file, circumstances arose rendering... a bankruptcy a legal impossibility for me at this point in time, at which we requested a refund numerous times, only to be completely ignored to date. A petition was NEVER FILED on my behalf, nor was any work done on my case what so ever. The fact that Marc Capone could take advantage of a client in this manor is reprehensible, to say the least, and we plan on taking further legal action against him if our fee is not returned posthaste . Strongly caution anyone doing business with this office.

Let's start with the fact that Matt B. paid a retainer of $2,000, not $3,000. His assertion that no work was done on the file is self serving and a complete fabrication. The fact is that his entire petition was prepared, but for the couple of items that he neglected to supply to us, the petition would be 100% complete. Matt B. has failed to file tax returns for the past several years. That is what he claims makes it a legal impossibility to file a bankruptcy. The fact is he would just need to file these returns in order to proceed, something that is within his control to do. Additionally, Matt B. was provided with an invoice by my office for all services rendered up until the point that he indicated he was not moving forward. We worked on his petition in good faith and at his direction. The fact that he claims nothing was done is ludicrous. As stated to Matt B., we would certainly be happy to finalize and file his petition for him, but he does not want to complete his tax returns so that we can complete his petition. The fact that he believes we should work for free is beyond outrageous. We were retained to do a job, we did that job, the fact that a petition has not been filed is due to the lack of cooperation on behalf of Matt B. not anything my office has not done.. We have offered Matt B. a refund of the unused retainer, which is what he is entitled to pursuant to the retainer agreement that he signed with my office, but that is not good enough for him. Now Matt B. is attempting to bully us into returning his entire retainer by trashing my office online with untruths and fabrications. This is more a statement on Matt B.'s character than any indictment of my office.

broke in NJ

I contacted this lawyer on two occasions gave him a retainer, to deal with a possible bankruptcy. after waiting about 5 months .... Sandy hit the area..... I called and decided against bankruptcy, he himself has not spoken with me again, instead I get the run around and was told that I am only gettin...g $250 of the $1000 back I gave that money to the firm 16 months ago, asked to stop the process 11 months ago and am still waiting for my refund!!!!! and IM BROKE!!!!!
