Evan Balmer

My wife and I were referred to Balmer Black by a family friend when we needed help creating an estate plan. We worked with Adam for the estate plan but then we worked with Evan when it came time to buy our home. Even was always available and easy to contact. He answered all our questions and concerns.... He advised us on difficult questions. In all, he made the home buying process very easy. It was a pleasure working with Evan and we look forward to a continued relationship with their firm.

We hired Evan for a custody issue and a visitation issue. He failed us on both issues. There were key points on the custody issue where he completely disregarded our wishes. On the visitation issue we kept telling him we want to fight. He kept pushing reconciliation. He wouldn't listen to what we wan...ted and has us sign papers without explaimg what they were. Now, we are stuck with a horrible situation and no recourse due to his ineffective council. Also, it took weeks for him to get in contact with us and that was only after I threatened to sue for breach of contract. What he did to my wife and I is unconscionable.

Evan helped me secure full custody of my children as well as assisting me in my child support case. I spoke to other lawyers before Evan, and they all talked entirely too much, and based their strategy for my case solely on their past experience as opposed to treating me as an individual and hearing ...what my desired outcome was. I am not a student of law and had no court experience up until recently, but I appreciate that Evan took the time to hear me and gave me the opportunity to voice my concerns surrounding my legal situation. He was never pushy or patronizing in any way, and I truly appreciated that. He is polite, professional, reasonable, and gets the job done without drama and added frills.
