I was facing a simple assault/disorderly conduct charge after a domestic incident with my wife when we were both not in the right frame of mind. As a person who shies away from conflict I had never had anything like this happen before in my life, let alone a criminal charge so as you can imagine I was in shock that I had gotten myself into such a situation...my wife and I decided to put the situation behind us and were moving forward together but an arrest warrant did arrive for me given that it was a domestic incident. I recently finalized a court case that actually started at the Covid '19 outbreak. I had a simple assault (criminal) case that was lowered to a non-criminal. The witness wanted to battle it out in trial. Paul appeared virtually by my side for over 7+ appearances over 9 long months. He gave me sound and logical advice. Even though the odds were against us, he told me to never give up until the very end. And I will be honest, there were definitely times where I wanted to just go to trial to get it over with. He reminded me on more than one occasion that I was the client, and he would abide by my wishes, and that if I wanted to give up, I could. I think an attorney/client relationship works both ways. Just as I chose him and his law firm to represent me in court, they also had the right to choose me as a client. Paul did not have an easy case. Paul and the Law Offices of John Marshall could have refused to take my case based on what I told them before retaining them. But in the end, they chose to represent me, and for that, I am very grateful. And during this time, Paul was undergoing spinal surgery. I wasn't aware of this. Regardless of his personal situation, he showed commitment and ability to perform under pressure. I'm not sure what he did behind the scenes, but it worked. Paul was incredible from the very beginning when I panicked receiving 6 traffic violations and the fear of losing my license. He helped me through scheduling the court date and was right there with me through meeting with the prosecutor and then the judge. I couldn't have asked for a better outcome with no points on my license and just having to pay some fees ! Highly recommend Paul for any type of moving violations
