Biography
Stephen T. Raff, Esq. performed his undergraduate studies at NYU where he graduated Cum Laude with a B.A. He was presented with the school’s Founders Day Award for attaining the highest bracket of scholastic preferment recognized by the University.
He went on to receive his law degree from Cardozo School of Law where he graduated in the top 10% of his class.
Stephen is admitted to practice law in the State of NJ and NY and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court and the United States District Court for the District of NJ.
Stephen Raff became a partner of the firm in 1999 and has been personally involved in the settlement of thousands of cases. As the managing partner of the firm, he ensures that all cases are handled properly from the beginning to end.
Stephen Raff is a member of the Passaic County Bar Association (PCBA) as well as the New Jersey State Bar Association (NJSBA). He presently serves as a Trustee to the PCBA and was recently appointed to serve on the General Council of the NJSBA. The essential purpose of the General Council is to act as a forum for the County Bar Associations members to bring to the attention of the Association’s leadership matters of general concern to the organized bar which may impact on the practice of law and the role of attorneys in society. The object of the Council’s deliberations shall be to maintain a cohesive dialogue in order to foster more effective communication, and thereby enhance the Association’s ability to coordinate and take action on matters of common concern.
In addition to his legal practice, Stephen Raff is actively involved in weight lifting, grappling and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. In college he use to be a personal trainer and competed in several power lifting events. He has now become more focused on Jiu Jitsu and has traveled around the United States and Brazil to train with some of the top competitors and athletes in the world. While in Brazil he trained personally under Royler and Rolker Gracie at Gracie Humaita in Rio De Janeiro. When not fighting on the mats or in court, he can also be found on the soccer field coaching his kids’ soccer teams.
