Adam Black

Adam Black is an attorney that concentrates his practice on defending national retailers, insurance companies, and small businesses against general and premises liability claims in the state courts of New York and the U.S. District Courts of the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. Adam founded a successful law firm based in downtown Manhattan where his primary focus was defending consumers throughout New York against banks and third-party debt collectors. In addition to representing individuals, Adam has represented businesses, nonprofits, and entertainment professionals. Before starting his own firm, he worked for a boutique commercial litigation firm based out of New York City and served as a judicial extern in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Bergen Vicinage.
 
In 2007, Adam completed his undergraduate studies at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania where he received his Bachelor of the Arts in Political Science. While attending Bloomsburg University, he was a member of the Political Science Student Association and Phi Sigma Alpha, a national honor society. Adam obtained his Juris Doctorate in 2012 from Western Michigan University – Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan where he was a member of the Journal of Practical and Clinical Law and a recipient of the Outstanding Associate Editor Award. He served as a member of the Bloomsburg University Alumni Board of Directors and participated as a panelist on multiple occasions discussing entrepreneurship, the job market, and careers in the legal field.
