Ronald P. Mondello, Esq.
Biography
Ron Mondello is a solo practitioner in Fair Lawn, N.J. Mr. Mondello engages in the practice of municipal court law, land use, immigration law and municipal government law. He is an expert in the immigration consequences of NJ criminal activity ("crimmigration").
Mr. Mondello is also a computer consultant. He was previously employed as a Year 2000 consultant with a New York bank where he designed plans to enable the bank’s trading systems to obtain Year 2000 compliance certification from the banking regulators.
While at AT&T, he was employed as a project manager supervising over thirty computer programmers and data base analysts. He has functioned as a business analyst in developing cost/benefit feasibility studies for various information technology platforms.
He is an adjunct professor at Bergen Community College and Passaic Community College teaching WordPerfect and Intro to Systems Analysis. He has taught business organizations and criminal law at the Academy for Legal Assistant Training.
Mr. Mondello was born on February 2, 1961 and graduated from Fair Lawn Senior High School in 1979. His has lived in Fair Lawn until 2005 when he moved to Kinnelon, N.J. and currently serves as Councilman. He received his Bachelor’s degree from William Paterson College in 1983, his Master’s degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1988 and his Juris Doctor from Loyola University in 1992. He is a licensed stock broker, insurance agent and realtor although not practicing in those fields. He is also a certified court mediator.
Mr. Mondello is or was the Public Defender for the towns of Emerson, Fair Lawn, Paramus and Saddle Brook. He is the Planning Board and Zoning Board Attorney for Bergenfield and Wanaque.
Ron Mondello is a member of the Bergen and Morris County Bar Associations, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, New Jersey Bar Association, Municipal Court and Criminal Lawyers Section. He is a pro bono volunteer attorney for the Bergen County Alternatives to Domestic Violence (ADV) organization and represents women that have been subject to domestic violence. Ron Mondello is a member of the Fair Lawn Cosmos Club. He is a member of OLM Church in Kinnelon and a seventh grade CCD teacher. Mr. Mondello, his wife, Kaity, his 13 year old daughter, Allessandra, his 10 year old son Nicholas live in Kinnelon, NJ along with his mother-in-law Fu-Mei and his dachshund Sparky.
