Roberta Tarkan is as Tina Turner once said, “simply the best”. I recently went through a landlord/ tenant dispute and retained Roberta as my legal counsel. When searching for an attorney, I asked my friend and volleyball teammate who happens to be a landlord/tenant lawyer (just as in-house council he...nce) for recommendations. She told me “I would hands down recommend Roberta Tarkan for anything related to landlord /tenant related”. Seeing how my friend was a lawyer, I trusted her recommendation. I immediately reached out to Roberta’s office and met with her the next day for a consultation. From the moment I met Roberta, I felt immediately less stressed. Anytime anyone experiences having a legal matter to deal with, it can be overwhelming and frustrating. With Roberta, I felt like I had an advocate. Her knowledge and “tell it how it is, no BS attitude” is exactly what you want in a lawyer. After my consultation, I immediately retained her as my council. Throughout my entire legal matter, Roberta and her office took care of me. Any time the opposing lawyers threw something at me, Roberta fired back with knowledge and facts. Unlike some lawyers, Roberta understands that for many of her clients, it is the first timing having to deal with circumstances in a court setting. I'm so glad that I hired Roberta Tarkan. I was properly defended against an abusive and a disorderly Landlord. She was very professional, efficient with the Court employees,Judge. She was very knowledgeable and experienced. She stopped every abuse from the Landlord. I regret hiring Roberta she is very unprofessional and just insults you when you don’t agree with her, yells at you on the phone and hangs up abruptly,she quoted me a price and I gave her half of the $$ and then tried to change the price. Insulted me by saying that the the people that were taking me... to court sounded more credible than I did! Never listened to what I said, she did not want to go to court and ended up settling fof the amount of the security because she kept arguing with me every time I tried to explain my side of the story. I agreed to the unjust settlement that she got me because I just wanted to end dealing with her! I basically wasted my $$$ and she caused me a tremendous amount of stress!! Do yourself a favor and stay away from her, wether you win or lose it is important that the attorney you are paying to represent you treats you with courtesy and respect! She is angry $$$ hungry woman that should not be dealing with the public!

Anyone whose had success was lucky, the case was closed and I was never notified. She arbitrarily comes out with a figure but does not/will not account for her fees. When asked for an account of services, she gave me copies that I had submitted to her. She met with me once after initial consult fo...r less than an hour. The case was closed the following month--she never advised me.
