Roberta Tarkan is as Tina Turner once said, “simply the best”. I recently went through a landlord/ tenant dispute and retained Roberta as my legal counsel. When searching for an attorney, I asked my friend and volleyball teammate who happens to be a landlord/tenant lawyer (just as in-house council he...nce) for recommendations. She told me “I would hands down recommend Roberta Tarkan for anything related to landlord /tenant related”. Seeing how my friend was a lawyer, I trusted her recommendation. I immediately reached out to Roberta’s office and met with her the next day for a consultation. From the moment I met Roberta, I felt immediately less stressed. Anytime anyone experiences having a legal matter to deal with, it can be overwhelming and frustrating. With Roberta, I felt like I had an advocate. Her knowledge and “tell it how it is, no BS attitude” is exactly what you want in a lawyer. After my consultation, I immediately retained her as my council. Throughout my entire legal matter, Roberta and her office took care of me. Any time the opposing lawyers threw something at me, Roberta fired back with knowledge and facts. She knows when other lawyers are playing games and is not afraid to call their bluff. To Roberta, her client comes first. Unlike some lawyers, Roberta understands that for many of her clients, it is the first timing having to deal with circumstances in a court setting. For me, it was undoubtedly nerve wracking, but I always knew Roberta had my back and is not afraid to fight for me. After everything was said and done, Roberta got the case against me dismissed. Roberta Tarkan is the reason why I am able to write this review from my desk in the apartment she fought to help me keep. I am incredibly grateful for all she has done. My message to anyone reading this review is that Roberta Tarkan is a solid choice to anyone dealing with a landlord/tenant dispute. You will not be disappointed. I'm so glad that I hired Roberta Tarkan. I was properly defended against an abusive and a disorderly Landlord. She was very professional, efficient with the Court employees,Judge. She was very knowledgeable and experienced. She stopped every abuse from the Landlord. She directly and personally al...ways contacted me, was always available for appointments including the weekends. Her staff were friendly and professional. I felt very safe and legally protected during the entire stressful case. And we won!

Pros: 1. Professional, returns both phone calls & emails immediately 2. Easy to interact and no issues in settlement 3. Tells the strength and weakness of your case upfront 4. She is busy lawyer and gives you the confidence to go ahead with the case 5. I didn’t ask her, but she gave good discou...nt and returned the settlement money on weekend. Cons: 1. Forgets the discussed points and have to remind her 2. Asked for additional documents as last moment and will request you to bring the documents (it might be just for me) 3. You might feel that she charges more 4. Appointment was postponed couple of times due to her busy schedule. Advice: Please write down everything you want to discuss with her and handover a copy to her.

This is a lawyer that doesn't know the law, cannot and donot review a document, cannot consantrate on a conversation, extremely disorganized, comes to court with absolutely zero preparation, blames everybody else for her failures, and has the nerve to be abusive and charge his customers excessively f...or losing court cases. Disaster from whichever angle you look at it; absolutely nothing positive with this lawyer. I have been a head of a large business for over 30 years, worked with many lawyers on various corporate law issues and countless business agreements - never I was encountered with someone so clueless about her profession until I met Roberta Tarkan.
