Brunilda Bonilla

This is the worst lawyer I have seen. I hired her for my divorce case a year ago. She is never in her office and never calls you back when you leave messages. Yet charges her hourly fee to leave messages with her secretary. Never follows through with what she promises and later tells me I didn't talk... to her about it. She is all talk. In fact she ordered the wrong subpoena for bank accounts and the wrong dates, didn't even look at them. I was denied CHILD SUPPORT and the judge wrote a half page explanation to her telling her that in 15 years of practice she still doesn't know the correct way of submitting exhibits to the court??? How humiliating! Not only that she sent the motion to the wrong county! She didn't even tell me, I found out from the other parties lawyer when he ridiculed her on the counter motion!! How embarassing,. Yet she had already charged me for it! 20 min. before the mediation she called me from her car to ask me what was in the bank statements. 3 days ago I had spoken to her and asked her to prepare herself. She left abruptly during the mediation and didn't even tell me, I had to call and ask her where she was only to find out that she left to go to court. Soo much more to write, but please for your sake, don't be like me, WASTED A YEAR AND $14,000 for a case to be dismissed in court because this lawyer didn't bother doing anything other than charge me for speaking to her secretary.

My attorney from the moment I met her was very professional and empathetic to my situation. I felt she was always keeping my best interests at heart, not only because she was hired too do this. I was put at ease that she was going to support me every step of the way, because divorce is not always ple...asant. Although I filed my own divorce, she was there for the tough things (financial settlements and custody for my children). I was impressed how smoothly and quickly she settled those issues for me. I will always be grateful to her for all the hard work she did too make my transition to the unexpected change in my life more bearable.

I appeared in court the first time alone, thinking I had an edge on things with my ex and got obliterated by a hearing officer. Later, I was recommended to Ms. Bonilla by my tenant. She was very informative on my situation, and knew the aspect of the custody game. We rescheduled another hearing in Co...urt, and she kept my hopes up in route to my court date, and continuously kept me updated during the process, which I found very helpful. I can only say she knows her job, and does make things better. My expectations of the 2nd hearing were met. Lets say my ex wasn't happy with the results in round 2. I would highly recommend Ms. Bonilla for marital or custody issues. Thanks again for the help Ms. Bonilla, and God bless.
