Craig Livingston developed an affinity for organized labor very early in his career. Upon graduation from college, he joined Local 371 American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees (AFSME). His stint with AFSME ended abruptly when Mr. Livingston was drafted to serve a tour of duty in Vietnam as a truck driver. Upon his return to the United States from Vietnam, he immediately enrolled at Rutgers Law School – during an era of social and political change in American when Rutgers Law was also known as “The Peoples Electric Law School”. It was from this point in time that Craig Livingston embarked on his long and distinguished legal career as a zealous advocate for the ordinary working man.
Mr. Livingston began his career representing United Auto Workers. When one of the UAW Locals was faced with a plant shutdown, he worked on a 1982 buyout of the General Motors plant using an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Over the next 18 years, Mr. Livingston worked on 15 other ESOPS, saving union jobs and troubled industries along the way– many of which have survived to this day and are now flourishing in the world economy of the 21st Century.
Craig Livingston has a well earned reputation for being an aggressive trial attorney always in search of the next just cause to advocate. He is respected throughout the legal community for his ability to think outside the box and find legal paths around hurdles that the law places in front of working class people.
In 2003, Mr. Livingston founded and became President of the New Jersey COSH, the Advisory Council on Health and Safety, a coalition of Labor Unions, Workers' Lawyers and Workers' Doctors. New Jersey COSH fights for pro-worker legislation and writes friend of the court briefs to the New Jersey Supreme Court on issues that impact workers. New Jersey COSH has grown over two decades to be the leading legal voice for injured workers in New Jersey.
Craig Livingston is designated by the New Jersey Supreme Court as a Board Certified Workers' Compensation Law Attorney. He specializes in Labor Law as well as Workers Compensation Claims involving catastrophic injuries and occupational diseases including Mesothelioma.

My Compensation Lawyer
He did an outstanding job of explaining my rights and also a great job on my compensation case. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a workers compensation attorney.
"Craig is a brilliant workers' compensation attorney known for his ability to think outside the box. He looks at existing law and develops new and creative ways to apply it for the benefit of the injured worker. He is the founding father of NJCOSH, a political action committee that works tirelessly to support workers rights and new legislation to help injured workers. Craig is a forceful advocate for every worker in New Jersey and he does an amazing job of making sure that their voices heard - both in Trenton and in the court room."
"I endorse this lawyer. I have worked in the same area as Craig for over 33 years. He is rightly considered to be one of the best Worker's Compensation attorneys in the New Jersey."
"I endorse this lawyer. Craig Livingston is the smartest Workers’ Compensation attorney that I have ever worked with. His knowledge of Compensation Law is second to none. He has worked as an expert witness on behalf of one of my clients, and his written skills are only exceeded by his knowledge and temperament."
