For the past 20 years Mr. Soranno has been engaged in the active practice of law as a litigation attorney. He is an AV rated, preeminent attorney, in the area of complex litigation including business workouts. Mr. Soranno is an ALM Top Rated Lawyer in Family Law specializing in representing physicians, high net worth individuals and executives or their spouses in matters involving issues of business valuation, asset distribution and support disputes unique to these matters. Before the practice of law Mr. Soranno spent 10 years on Wall Street as a Registered Representative and broker/dealer engaged in the sale of securities. Mr. Soranno was a shareholder of Network 1 Financial, Inc., Red Bank, New Jersey an investment banking firm.

Carl is Co-founder, Corporate Secretary and former director of Edge Therapeutics, Inc. Edge is a hospital-focused biopharmaceutical company that uses novel, site-specific and sustained release-microparticle technology to develop products for acute, and fatal or debilitating neurological conditions. The PROMISE study, an Investigator Initiated Phase 1/2a study was completed in 2013. Enrollment of the first patient in the NEWTON study, a multicenter Phase 1/2 randomized, open-label, controlled clinical study of its lead product, EG-1962 began in October 2013 and completion of the Study is planned for early 2014 following the FDA's approval of Edge's IND application. Recently, Edge raised over $18 million dollars from investors.

Mr. Soranno is a Trustee of the Dombal-Vogel Foundation that provides assistance to children who are at risk because of socio-economic constraints. Mr. Soranno is counsel to the Former New Jersey Troopers Association and Counsel to The Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, a foundation improving the quality of life for children with pediatric brain tumors.
