Not Just TV Having spent most of my adult life volunteering and serving my community. I never could have imagined that I would ever need a criminal defense attorney. In my case, I was the victim, but somehow, I ended up being a defendant. The truth can easily be distorted when rookie police office...rs are involved. I don’t blame them for trying to do their job and I guess there is a learning curve involved in law enforcement as well, but to be bamboozled into being charged with a crime is the last thing I would have expected. Our system may be the greatest in the world, however, it is not flawless by any means. Shock, anxiety, and depression are emotions that took over when I finally understood what was happening. I knew I had done nothing wrong, so why should I have to prove my innocence? I thought it was the other way around. I did my homework to find legal representation, and the choices were many. I felt that I really shouldn’t need “the best” in my case, however, I am glad that I did my research, and decided to chose David Bruno and The Bianchi Law Group based on their exemplary reputation, experience, and reviews. The court system doesn’t work so easily, or at times, even feels unfair. Due process is painful and confusing. David Bruno and The Bianchi Law Group leveled the scale. From the very first consultation until the last day of our court appearance they were on top of every single detail. Communication was very important to me along the way as I felt like I was living a reoccurring nightmare, and needed information, and encouragement. My phone calls and emails were returned promptly every time, early in the morning and even late at night. If he weren’t as sharp as a tack, I wouldn’t believe he takes time to sleep. There is nothing warm and fuzzy about the legal system and David was very informative and clear on that. At the end of the day, it comes down to knowledge, experience, intelligence, and courtroom demeanor to navigate the treacherous waters of the legal system. There is no doubt that I felt like I was being thrown under the bus by the prosecutor. I was under the false impression that the prosecutor was there to serve the community and determine if a case had merit or not, so as not to allow false claims to be dignified. Prosecute those who they believe to be guilty as charged and dismiss frivolous suits and fallacious charges. Given the circumstances in my case, lack of evidence, and persons involved, I could not believe he would even proceed with the charge. He did! And I was shocked to the core. David’s experience as a prosecutor, together with his years as a Criminal Defense attorney has positioned him at the very top in his field. I was absolutely amazed at the way this man handled himself in court. He exhumes knowledge and etiquette. His presence in the courtroom is something that can be felt. At times, it seemed that David “knew” the law better than the judge! The way David conducts himself in court is nothing short of impressive, and as a result, the process tows a very straight line when he is on stage. When he speaks you can hear a pin drop in the room. I felt at one point everyone in the room was intimidated, even the judge... He was at least ten steps ahead of my opposition throughout the entire process. Without question, the time spent on this debacle was the worst time spent of my entire life. After working on my case and appearing several times in court, David was finally able to have the charges dismissed. This was no small accomplishment, as he had made it clear that in court there are no guarantees. A trial would have hurt me, not only financially, but emotionally as well. He was able to spare me that. God bless him and The Bianchi Law Group. They should be commended for leadership in their field. David Bruno did an excellent job handling my husband’s case. He was a consummate professional. He was always available to answer questions and put our minds at ease. When I hired David Bruno, he came into a case where the prior attorney’s actions were different from those he would have taken. He was honest about that up front but was still willing to help me with whatever he could, based on my situation at that time.
