I was referred to Ms. Lomurro by a mutual friend we have in common and I am forever grateful for this. After going through two other family law attorneys who very much dropped the ball with my case, it was an absolute joy working with Steph. From the get-go she let me feel heard which is so valuable ...when you have things such as custody and visitation involved. She was present in our conversations, she was responsive to my questions, and she was thorough with reviewing all the documents I presented her. The judge assigned to my case is very intimidating, yet Steph was able to keep up with him. She advocated for me from the moment we had our initial consultation. In the end, I could not have asked for a better resolution and she worked hard to get everything in order and signed by all parties and the judge before we stepped out of the courtroom. She made sure that everything was filed immediately and an updated final copy was provided for me that same day. It was an absolute relief walking out of the courthouse knowing that I didn’t have to follow-up with anyone because Steph had taken care of everything before we faced the judge. She really gave me my peace and my life back after two long years of going back and forth with my ex. She gave me her honest opinion every step of the way regarding which route to take with my case. In terms of the bottom line, her fee is more than fair. I have paid either equally or more for really terrible attorneys whereas Steph is an excellent attorney who worked diligently on my case. Stephanie Lomurro, Esq. is one of the most professional, thorough, hardworking, responsive, honest, ethical, and detail-oriented lawyers I have ever worked with. Unfortunately, I had to let my first lawyer go, as he dropped the ball a few times during my sad and at times completely distressing div...orce case. When Steph was recommended to me by a friend, I knew I had found the perfect match for my needs. The staff are warm and receptive, and Steph (as she likes to be called), from her first meeting with me, put me completely at ease--I knew I was in safe hands. Without going into to much personal detail, I was completely unsure of what the future was going to bring my son and myself, and Steph made me feel heard. I did not know the first thing about the divorce process, or the court system for that matter, and after having just filed a restraining order, and entering the Newark County Courthouse, my eyes had been opened--WIDE. I knew I needed someone who was brave, smart, and resilient. In short I was scared. Steph proved to be all those things and more. She was able comfort me when needed and at times bring some humor to our meetings. She obviously had much insight from her previous work and it became evident in my case. If I shot her a text or an email late at night after a day's work, I would expect an answer in the am, but most times I would get it right away. In fact, there were days in my hectic now single-mother whirlwind of a life, I had to ask her to look something up for me because I couldn't find it or remember it for myself and she either knew the answer right away or found it within seconds. When my ex-husband tried to bring us to court yet again by not fulfilling his court orders, Stephanie was so displeased that she said she would file my motion Pro Bono--and if we won, she would get him to pay for her services, but she would not ask me to pay one dime. Who does that? She knew and sympathized that my son and I had been through enough with this man financially and otherwise, and she stood up to it. And guess what? She WON. That taste of victory was very sweet, to say the least, on so many fronts. She's that good. Most importantly, when the final divorce document was scripted by Steph, she hadn't left out one detail. As I sat and read it, my hands almost trembling after years of harrowing and at times unkind back and forth with my ex and his lawyer (the length of time was not Stephanie's fault--my ex wanted to drag the process along to drain me of as much money as possible), I realized she had heard every word I had spoken to her. And some of the unspoken ones. Every detail was in those pages. I felt as if someone had written my sad story down, but instead of it sounding sad, I somehow sounded empowered and suddenly brave myself. That validating feeling almost brought me to tears. Someone had been listening. And someone cared. And through it all, it was one of the last people I had expected it to be--an attorney who I had hired to fight for my son and what felt for my life at times. Stephanie is so much more than a lawyer, I now consider her a friend, and a person who fights on the side of good and sometimes frightened people. I could not have made it through this devastating life change without a force like Stephanie Lomurro at my side, I truly believe that.

I used Stephanie as my lawyer for my prenup. She was great and made sure to advocate for my interests. She was also very efficient and effective at explaining all the more technical jargon that is always found in these types of legal documents. Going through a divorce can be very stressful. I must say that Stephanie did her very best to take away a much of the stress as possible, even in the midst of a global pandemic.
