Let's face it-- hiring a new attorney for real estate can sometimes be a throw of the dice. I purchased my first home last year with a "recommended" attorney, and the process was miserable. My previous attorney was slow, lacked detail, and I felt like just another manila folder in his filing bin of... closings to get through. Fast-forward a few months and I'm ready to purchase a new investment property, and John and a few others were recommended to me. I called each, but right from the start I knew John was the right pick. His energetic yet firm and knowledgeable answers to my many questions were refreshing, and I actually felt like I had someone on my side to help me through the process. At the seller's request, they wanted a closing performed within 6 weeks of the offer. John and his staff (Amy) were responsive all the way through and made sure no detail was left behind. Even after the closing, John offered to provide support for things I didn't even thing of such as tenant management, property boundary concerns, and specific rental contracts.
