I have been practicing mostly immigration law for the last 13 years. I am very experienced in family immigration, naturalization, consular processing, business immigration, and removal/deportation defense (removal/deportation limited to Connecticut, New York City and Boston). I also am skilled at appeals to the Board of Immigration Appeals as well as the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. I also do Federal Court Petitions for Writs of Mandamus to move long-delayed cases (Connecticut residents only). Except where otherwise noted, I take cases from around the country and around the world.
I am a solo practitioner, so every case gets my full personal attention. I am admitted to the State Bars of Connecticut and New York, as well as the Federal District of Connecticut and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. I am a member of the American Immigration Lawyer's Association and the Connecticut Trial Attorney's Association. I graduated from Pace University School of Law in 1999 Magna Cum Laude.
I also take some divorce and some lower level criminal matters, and I find that practicing in these areas also keeps me more informed as to the immigration consequences of criminal convictions and immigration issues regarding family law. I do take a limited number of personal injury cases, though frequently I will simply recommend the best attorneys in the area for your personal injury matter.

"If I were an non-US citizen faced with an immigration matter in the United States, I would turn to Robert Ross. In the matters on which we have worked together, or in instances when we have communicated with one another for advice on cases, I have found Robert to be incredibly knowledgeable, sharp as a tack, and feel that he represents his clients with tenacity. He may be the very definition of a zealous advocate."
