Paul was born and raised in Waterbury, CT. Paul was a full-time Adult Probation Officer with the State of Connecticut before attending law school and graduating with honors. Paul's blue-collar upbringing instilled a sense of fairness and hard work in him that he uses to the great benefit of his clients. Paul's most rewarding cases have involved his representation of working families in claims against powerful Connecticut corporations and insurance companies. Paul's hard work resulted in being designated for inclusion in the 2009-15 editions of Super Lawyers Magazine. He has also been listed in the field of Personal Injury Litigation in the Best Lawyers in America, 2010-15.
Paul was a longtime member of the Waterbury Boys' Club and for years has been a supporter of youth athletics in Waterbury, Southington and Wolcott. Paul is devoted to his alma mater, Sacred Heart High School. In 2005, Paul was honored with the school's Distinguished Alumni Award. He now serves on the school's Advancement Committee. Paul recently was named to the Board of Trustees of The University of Saint Joseph in Hartford, CT.
Paul has used his background and strong work ethic to achieve successful verdicts and settlements for a Waterbury infant injured at birth, a New Haven nursing student rendered quadriplegic in a motor vehicle collision and New London County dairy farmers whose cattle were injured by stray voltage.
Paul received his undergraduate degree from the University of Connecticut in 1985. He was then employed by the State of Connecticut, Judicial Department, as a Child Support Enforcement Officer and an Adult Probation Officer. He received his law degree, with honors, from Western New England School of Law in 1994. Paul was a member of the Western New England Law Review in 1993-1994. Paul maintained his full-time employment with the State of Connecticut and RisCassi and Davis, P.C., during his legal education.
Paul is a certified Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Connecticut and the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut. He is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, the Connecticut Bar Association and the Waterbury Bar Association. He has lectured for the Institute for Paralegal Education on Essential Litigation Skills for Paralegals, as well as the Hartford County Bar Association, and he has also contributed to and lectured at seminars by the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association on various litigation-related topics.
