When I found myself in the scariest moment of my life facing criminal charges I was referred to Attorney Cavallari. From the very first phone call, I felt at ease and I knew she was not going to let me get railroaded by the judicial system. From being under investigation to months later being arreste...d and then going through the judicial proceedings, Cara made sure she was by my side every step of the way. My case was not only lengthy (mostly in part of the COVID pandemic) but it was very complex. Cara worked every single day on my case, even when it was being continued over and over. She consulted with the best experts and communicated with me constantly. Not only was Cara passionate about my case but she truly believed in me as a person! Every time I met with Cara, I felt we were as prepared as we could be for the next steps in this terrifying process. She assured me when we were not happy with the states first offer that she was not done fighting. She fought until the offer was reduced to something we found acceptable. Although Cara was fully prepared to take my case to trial if I chose to go that route, I ultimately decided to take a plea deal. I know that I received the most lenient sentence because of Cara’s determination and expertise. I was facing a very long term of incarceration and because of Attorney Cavallari I was only sentenced to a few months. After my sentencing, Cara contacted me every single week that I was incarcerated and worked directly with the prison to have me released early. She continued fighting even after my sentence was handed down!!! Attorney Cavallari also kept in constant communication with my son and my family when I was incarcerated. She answered all of their questions and concerns, explained to them what the next steps would look like and helped put their minds at ease. Beyond that, Cara has also offered to communicate with any future employer to help me obtain employment again and put this nightmare behind me. I will be using Cara when it comes time to apply for a pardon and I would recommend her services to anyone who finds themselves needing legal counsel. She is truly the best in the business!!!!! I hired attorney Cavallari to help me file a sentence modification, knowing that it was a long shot, but with Cara on my side I was hopeful. She was very thorough, informative, and attentive to all of my questions. When it was time for court, I was very pleased with how Cara represented me and fought... for the outcome we received. I first came in contact with Cara Cavallari following a prolonged period of inaction by my previous attorney. Like many of us that find ourselves needing legal representation, I thought an attorney with many years of experience would handle my case efficiently and deliver the best possible outcome.... Due to the current COVID-19 pandemic, the court in my area was significantly overwhelmed with a backlog of cases. In addition to my legal issues, I was also subject to review and pressure from my academic institution. My case was continuously delayed. I was told to "Sit tight," by my previous attorney. After 4 months of inaction I had enough. After contacting attorney Cavallari, it was a night and day difference. First, she recognized that this was a difficult time for me as I faced a legal case that could jeopardize my future professional career and was further complicated by the review board process at my academic institution. Second, she outlined a plan to get case handled in a timely manner, including filing motions, meeting with the state attorney office, and the family services office. I met with her on a Friday, by Monday morning my court date was moved from 3 months away to the following week. At that court date (which I did not have to attend), my case was a nollied.
