I hired Attorney Sherman to assist me in getting my permit reinstated after it had been revoked. He took extraordinary interest in my case, diligently gathering the facts and keeping me updated as to the progress and the process. One of his biggest strengths is that he has so much experience interact...ing with the CT State Police and knows the process inside and out. Atty. Sherman did an excellent job getting my pistol permit for me. He obviously knew what he was doing. I don't understand the negative reiviews here, except sometimes people say the wrong thing at their hearing, and their lawyer can't take it back for them. Mr. Sherman delivered as promised. He rev...iewed my case with me before my hearing and got the board to give me my permit by a unanimous vote.

I used Mr. Sherman when east Hartford denied my pistol permit for the most spurious of reasons...Being frustrated yet a profound NRA member they referred me to Mr.Sherman. I cannot tell you enough how good of an attorney Mr Sherman is. First and foremost he knows the gun laws of Connecticut probably ...better than all of politicians and law enforcement individuals of Connecticut combined.. He will walk you though every step of the appeal process and you immediately feel like you have the right person on your side . Also , while i waited for my appeal i check the court records regularly to see the success of his cases... and he more often than not got positive results.His prices don't match the level of service it exceeds them.. He is a top notch attorney !!!!!

I hired Atty. Sherman to help me with my pistol permit. My permit had been revoked by the state police. He got me through the entire appeal process. He was very effective at the hearing in front of the Board of Firearms Permit Examiners. There is no way I could have done this by myself. Attorney Sher...man knew the law, the board, and the technical side of firearms. Another client who posted a negative review here makes no sense. He says Attorney Sherman expected him to defend himself at the hearing, which he lost, and then, he claims, he got the permit back on his own. So the client was ineffective at defending himself at the hearing, but he got his permit back on his own? Sounds like BS. I have watched Attorney Sherman in CT-N videos of the hearings. He knows how to handle these hearings. But sometimes he does get a client who sticks his foot in his own mouth so badly that no one could possible take the client's foot out. Probably the negative reviewer falls into that category.
