A Tireless Advocate and Absolute Professional – Ralph Sherman is the Attorney You Want by Your Side

I had the privilege of working with Attorney Ralph Sherman during one of the most important legal matters of my life. After enduring what has been described by more than one judge as the most contentious divorce in Florida’s history—and facing three separate false allegations from my ex-wife that led... to wrongful arrests over the course of a decade—I came to Ralph with a complicated legal past and a sincere desire to restore my rights. While the first two criminal cases ultimately ended in not-guilty verdicts after years of grueling litigation, the third resulted in a forced plea deal under extreme prosecutorial pressure—branding me a felon. After seven relentless years of effort, I succeeded in restoring all of my civil rights, including my Second Amendment rights. That’s when I called Ralph Sherman. Applying for a firearms license in Connecticut—a state known for its strict gun laws—is no easy task, especially with my background. Ralph took my call without hesitation and handled my case with care, knowledge, and unparalleled professionalism. He didn’t just process paperwork—he walked me through each step of the process, calmed my eagerness when I wanted to charge ahead, and made sure every “i” was dotted and every “t” was crossed. My local police department—widely regarded as one of the toughest in the state—conducted an exhaustive investigation. Thanks in no small part to Ralph’s guidance, my 60-day temporary permit was issued. The final step involved an extensive interview with detectives at Troop G, who, after reviewing the full picture and engaging in a fair, honest conversation, issued my permit on the spot. These troopers were a credit to their profession and fully supported the lawful restoration of my firearm rights. If you are applying for a Connecticut firearm license—whether you have a clean record or a complex legal history like mine—call Ralph Sherman before you fill out a single form. His fees are extremely reasonable, but more importantly, his experience, insight, and meticulous approach are absolutely essential. A minor error can result in serious consequences, including criminal charges. Ralph ensures it’s done right the first time. I am forever grateful for his professionalism, his honesty, and his commitment to justice. Ralph Sherman is more than a lawyer—he’s a legal lifeline.

Criminal case and Pistol permit revocation

Ralph was straight forward from the very beginning. He didn’t sugar coat our situation at all. He dealt with criminal charges that he got nolled as well as getting my pistol permit back only weeks after. I would highly recommend him as he went out to bat for me 100%

Successful Pardon

From my first consultation with Mr. Sherman he was perfectly honest about everything. Explaining to me he thought my pardon would go through but that I needed to be patient. He told me could take anywhere between 18 to 24 months which it did. His team gave me updates and were very quick with replies... answering many questions I had . I mainly want to thank Mr. Sherman and his team for a job well done and putting my past to rest. I would recommend Mr. Sherman at the highest level to anyone trying to start the expungment process. Can't thank you guys enough!

Reliable, experienced service.

Working with Mr. Sherman was a great experience. His expertise is unmatched. He handled 95% of the footwork, allowing me to focus on my life. When I had questions, he happily answered. When I thought I knew what I was doing, he patiently explained the process and what the best course of action was. I... was granted my pardon and I no longer have a criminal history which allows me to pursue new jobs, licenses, housing, etc. I am incredibly grateful that I consulted and hired Mr. Sherman. I would recommend him to anybody, and in fact, I've already passed his information to about 5 friends and colleagues already.

Best Pardon Attorney out there

Ralph Sherman is true to his word: pardons in the State of CT are his specialty. He knows the “in’s ‘n outs” of the process, knows each member of the Board of Pardons & Paroles. He was very direct with me about the procedure, did NOT give me an unrealistic, over promised outcome. The end result happe...ned just as he said it would. He was quite frank in stating there was no guarantee of approval; in fact he was clear: not everyone is a candidate for a pardon (luckily I am). If you are fortunate to retain him: LISTEN TO HIM, do not do this on your own. He’s worth every penny of his fee. Thank you again, Atty Sherman!

"Whenever a client has a firearms-related issue in their case, the first thing I ask myself is "What would Ralph think?" There is simply no attorney in the state whom I would trust more to advise me on issues involving the details of Connecticut's gun laws. His experience in court and before administrative boards, his in-depth knowledge of firearms law, and his openness to help his fellow attorneys navigate these constantly shifting waters are all reasons why I keep Ralph at the top of my referrals list."
