Medicaid Qualification

Attorney Stephen Allaire and his team professionally guided me through the process of qualifying my husband, who is ill with a progressive disease and also was stricken with a life-threatening bacterial infection, for medicaid while preserving my own assets. They know what to do and how to do it wo...rking with the people who review the cases at DSS. They let me know what I needed to do and answered all my questions and assured me things were moving in the right direction. While working with the team, I felt they really cared what happened to us and were working in our best interests. They put me in touch with the people I needed to contact for home services and kept checking with me to find out if everything was going along the way it should. Charlotte Audet and Darlene Bossi were so supportive in this regard. I feel fortunate that I was able to hire Attorney Allaire and his staff to work with me. They got me through a difficult time and process. I highly recommend them.

Very helpful. Always there to answer questions. Above my expectations.

My sisters and I were very concerned for our mother's health as she grew older and more frail. We scheduled an appointment and met with Attorney Stephen Allaire of Allaire Elder Law. There was no pressure for us to hire him as he explained what he could do for us. We gave it some thought and agreed... to a "life care plan" for our mother. He explained to us what help we were to expect as mom's condition changed. We were assigned a care coordinator to help us. we had Charlotte Audet who guided us though the stages of care we could expect mom to need. Shortly after, mom developed pneumonia and was hospitalized. From there she went to rehab in a local nursing home. Daniella was assigned to guide us through all the details of our decision to have mom return home with a 24 hour care giver. She met with us at the rehab during the discharge planning meetings. Her expert advice helped us get though some difficult decisions. She helped us set up a Pooled Trust so mom could live out her life in the comfort and safety of her own home. The help we received was phenomenal. We were never told what to do. We were guided along as we made decisions. Information as to what to look for in an agency and what we could expect. We selected an agency and we were satisfied with the recommendation. Shortly after, mom came home with a 24 hour live in care giver. Since mom's money was running out fast, Jessica Sevigny was our liaison to help us navigate the process of getting mom accepted on the Medicaid program. It was a long process and many, many emails and trips were made to deliver the necessary documents. I could NEVER have done it without expert help. Mom is now at home with the help she needs thanks to the help we received from Allaire Elder Law. We highly recommend Allaire Elder Law to anyone looking for expert, care and knowledge in helping give a loved one the dignity of the life they deserve.

Hired to provide input and guidance for elderly father-in-law regarding estate planning and medicaid assistance

As a primary caregiver to my father-in-law, I was increasingly concerned that my family would be put in dire straights by the immense financial burden associated with both health care and nursing home expenses. Fortunately, I was alerted to the services that Attorney Allaire provided through a weekly... column that he wrote in our local newspaper. We scheduled an initial consultation appointment with the Attorney to discuss the background of our dilemma. He listened intently and immediately put us at ease by offering a detailed game plan to assist our family in preserving key assets which would insure an adequate and comfortable lifestyle for my father-in-law. Attorney Allaire and his remarkable staff would not disappoint. After hiring the Attorney to represent us, his team of professionals immediately went to work in a tireless fashion helping us navigate the complexity of both state and federal regulations. Actually, the Attorney and his staff performed all of the heavy lifting, oftentimes simply asking for our signature on certain documents from time to time. Member's of his staff kept us updated at every turn and left us feeling confident and informed throughout the entire process. During important mandatory meetings with administrators at a nursing home/rehab facility, the Attorney assured that a staff member from his office was always in attendance representing our family's best interest. The end result is that Attorney Allaire and his team gave my father-in-law (and our family) a financial peace as he guided us through a relatively seamless process in procuring Medicaid and a comfortable existence in a senior living community. There is no way we could have navigated this entire process alone. His one year Lifecare program proved invaluable to our family and I would wholehearted recommend him to anyone in a similar situation without hesitation.

Attorney Stephen Allaire Highly Recommended

Attorney Allaire is very efficient and extremely knowledgeable in the area of elder law. He explains the law so that it can be understood. He followed up on all of the issues that were needing additional attention. The staff that works with him was in constant contact with me and they were always ...polite, patient, responsive and informative. Difficult issues were resolved with an ending result that was very beneficial for my elderly father. I would highly recommend Attorney Allaire to anyone who is in need of elder law services.
