I am originally from Pennsylvania, but relocated to Maine after serving as an Electronics Technician in the US NAVY. I attended the University of Southern Maine and the University of Maine School of Law. After graduating from law school with honors, I worked as an associate at a firm in Portland, where I practiced family law and criminal defense exclusively.
Amy’s practice continues to focus on family law, including divorce, parental rights and responsibilities, enforcement of orders, protection from abuse, protection from harassment, and post judgment custody issues. Amy pays attention to detail and guides you through the process
Amy was wonderful throughout a contentious divorce with numerous twists and turns. She put my mind at ease with her clear guidance and support; explaining possible scenarios and navigating the best course in support of my position. Highly recommended.

I’m looking to hire an attorney cost me $300 to be declined, buyer beware
I paid $300 for a consultation but received little legal expertise beyond what I already knew. Although I respected the firm’s stated capacity constraints and followed up when my timeline aligned, I was subsequently declined representation without further explanation. While I understand an attorney’s...
When you set up the consultation appointment, you were made aware during the scheduling call and via follow up email that the consultation did not guarantee representation. Rather, you paid for and were provided with a consultation that included substantive legal advice specific to your situation and allowed us to speak to each other to see whether we would work well together. As you have posted anonymously, I cannot speak to why your case was declined. However, I assume that during/after the consultation, I decided that I was not interested in working with you; a decision that either one of us cold have made. It is why it is made clear that the consultation does not guarantee representation and why we never discussed a retainer. Therefore, when you contacted the office again, you were told that I decided I was unable to represent you. I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors and hope you are able to find an attorney who is a good match.

Misleading
I scheduled an initial consult with Attorney Robidas. I was told that representation was not guaranteed; however, I was NOT told that she is not taking new cases at this time. I wasn't told this until AFTER I paid $350 for just 30 minutes of phone consult, and then inquired about representation. I wo...
HI, Michelle, when you set up the consultation appointment, you were made aware, and accurately state in your comment, that the consultation did not guarantee representation. Rather, you paid for and were provided with a consultation that could have lasted up to an hour and during which you were provided legal advice. As your questions were answered quickly, we did not use the whole hour, but it was available for you. After that discussion, I decided that I was not interested in taking your case, which is part of the consultation process. It is why it is made clear that the consultation does not guarantee representation and why we never discussed a retainer. Therefore, when you contacted the office again, you were told that we are not taking new cases. This was not misleading, but was done so you would not take our rejection of your case personally. It is unfortunate that you decided to make this issue public. Regardless, I wish you the best of luck in your future endeavors and hope you are able to find an attorney who is a good match.
