I founded Maine Land Law LLC, PA as a solo law firm in 2009, and joined with colleagues to co-found Douglas McDaniel & Campo in October 2013. Drawing on my background in land conservation and civil litigation experience in state and federal courts in Maine, I focus my Maine Land Law practice on land use and property law. The other lawyers in my firm practice in a broad selection of civil and criminal law areas.
I truly enjoy helping clients determine what they can and cannot do with their property. I provide land use opinions, and help clients obtain (or challenge) land use permits at the municipal and state agency level, including judicial appeals if necessary. I help clients resolve boundary and easement disputes through litigation or settlement. I also negotiate conservation easements, trail easements and licences, and assist in real estate transactions.

She was able to settle a long drawn out case that had a lower chance of success. The staff I delt with where all very kind and helpful. Very glad to have the stress of this case gone!

Sarah was very exacting and detailed with our property dispute and was able to come to a resolution with a very difficult neighbor and myself without the matter going to Court. She is very, very good at what she does in regard to property law.

Said it would take her a month to answer question" what is a quitclaim deed, and is it for heirs/family only?" I've never heard of such a thing.
I am sorry that you were disappointed with your interaction with my receptionist when she requested information necessary for a conflict check as we require of all prospective clients and which is required of us by the Maine Rules of Professional Conduct. Additionally, due to my current case load, I am not able to schedule the free initial half-hour calls with potential clients for another month or so. This allows me the time needed to serve my existing clients. I believe that the AVVO "ask a lawyer" feature might be a more appropriate place for you to try to obtain an answer to your question.

Attorney McDaniel was very helpful. She combined in depth knowledge of real estate, with practical common sense and very humane recommendations for how to navigate a difficult conflict. I am very grateful for your help.

I want to express that Atty. Sarah McDaniel was so wonderful when she handled my case for me. I am living out of state and was worried how to go about settling my Real Estate transaction without being present. I was assured from the first phone call, that this would be a non-issue and she would hand...
"I worked with Sarah for many years, and have watched as she co-founded her own firm and become a leading attorney in her field. I addition to being a brilliant, energetic, and hard working attorney, she is among the nicest people I know. I wholeheartedly endorse Sarah."
"Sarah is a brilliant and creative attorney with the highest of ethical standards. Her knowledge of real estate and land use law is impeccable. Sarah has unique expertise in the planning and drafting of conservation easements, as she has degrees both in Law (Harvard) and Environmental Studies (Yale). She is one of the few attorneys I know who truly loves her work -- a factor that undoubtedly helps to sustain the excellence of her legal practice."
