Amy Fairfield is finally suspended!!!!! But she really deserves to be disbarred. She is dishonest in every way possible. She abuses her position and power as an attorney and GAL to persuade the courts by knowingly making false statements and reports. At the time of my case there was nothing I could d...o because she had full immunity as a GAL. By the time the courts realized she had lied, she withdrew from the case but at that point the damage was already done. This is also true when it comes to her billing practices. Amy is also known for discriminating against minorities and people of lower socioeconomic status. Amy Fairfield was hired as a GAL. She knowingly lied and made false statements in her report and to the court resulting in my child being ripped away from her family for 21 months. She refused to recommend our family be reunited unless I paid her. There were multiple times she said “find me the money” and “why should I do anything when you aren’t willing to pay me”. These conversations were all recorded by me personally. Upon asking her for an itemized bill, she could not produce one and said she “wasn’t keeping track of her hours since I wasn’t paying her”. After 21 months the court discovered that she had lied to them and instead of showing up to explain herself, she filed a motion to withdraw from the case. THANKFULLY, the State is beginning to realize the magnitude of her unprofessional and unethical conduct.
