Brian Fogarty is licensed to practice in all Municipal and Administrative Courts, Rhode Island State Courts, and the United States Federal District Court including the United States Bankruptcy Court. He is a general practitioner who regularly practices in all personal injury and other civil matters, contract issues, landlord/tenant, administrative and employment law (including unemployment claims), bankruptcy, estate planning and probate work as well as most criminal matters.
Born and raised in Rumford (East Providence) Rhode Island, Brian Fogarty attended high school at the Mary C. Wheeler School in Providence, Rhode Island. Thereafter, he attended Worcester Polytechnic Institute for electrical engineering. He graduated from the University of Rhode Island with distinction as a Bachelor of Arts (English) in 1993. He went on to attend the Roger Williams University School of Law where he graduated (Juris Doctorate) in the top ten percent of his graduating class. A CALI Award recipient and a Dean’s Scholar throughout his law school tenure, Attorney Fogarty was also a member of the Moot Court Honor Society. During law school, he worked for the Public Defender’s Office and later for the City of Pawtucket Solicitor’s Office. He was admitted to practice in 1998.
