I handle a wide range of general civil litigation claims, including personal injury, automobile and premises liability, products liability, toxic tort, asbestos claims, contract disputes, including insurance contracts, business loss, wrongful death, special education and representation of businesses, in all facets of civil litigation.
I earned my Juris Doctorate at Northeastern University School of Law in 2001 and a Bachelor of Arts in American Studies from Providence College in 1996. After spending fifteen years of my career with Asquith & Mahoney, I decided to venture out on my own, working largely as a mediator and an arbitrator, including work as an arbitrator approved by the Rhode Island Superior Court Court-Annexed Arbitration Program.
While in law school, I was a legal intern for Rhode Island Legal Services and the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Rhode Island. I also served as a Rule 9 student attorney for the Office of the Attorney General, State of Rhode Island, Juvenile Prosecution Unit.
I am admitted to practice before the Rhode Island State Courts, as well as before the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island.
I have received the “AV Preeminent Rating” by Martindale-Hubbell Peer Review Ratings, the "AV Preeminent Judical Rating" by Martindale-Hubbell confidential opinions of the bar and judiciary and a "High Ethical Standard Rating" from Martindale-Hubbell. In 2013 and 2014, I was named a Rhode Island Rising Star, by the publisher of Super Lawyers, recognizing me as an outstanding young attorney in the Rhode Island legal community.
It was an honor to receive the “Excellence in Mentoring Award” in 2009 from The Rhode Island Mentoring Partnership for my work with the San Miguel School located in Providence, Rhode Island. It has also been a great joy and pleasure to be a coach for Seekonk Little League, Seekonk Softball League and Seekonk Youth Soccer, as well as a parent volunteer for the Seekonk PTO and President of the Greater Providence Youth Hockey Association.
Prior to my enrollment in law school, I worked as a landscaper throughout high school, college and after graduation and as a disc jockey throughout college and after graduation. I was born and raised in Rhode Island.
