Attorney Withers graduated magna cum laudefrom The George Washington University in 2000 with a B.A. in Spanish Language and Literature. After graduation she worked for two years as a litigation paralegal for a Washington, D.C., personal injury firm. She graduated with her J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law in 2005 where she participated in the Domestic Violence Clinic. From 2005 through 2013 she was employed as a Staff Attorney at Community Legal Aid specializing in family law and domestic violence law. From January through June, 2010, Attorney Withers worked as a Clinical Instructor at Harvard Law School, where she supervised three law students and co-instructed a family law course as part of the Domestic Violence and Family Law Clinics at the university's Legal Services Center.
Attorney Withers has served for four years on the Board of Directors of New Hope, Inc., an Attleboro-based domestic violence agency. She also volunteers with the Women’s Bar Foundation as a mentor for newer attorneys handling pro bono family law cases. In addition, she volunteers for Senior Partners for Justice, a non-profit agency whose lawyers represent low-income individuals on a pro bono basis in a variety of legal matters. Attorney Withers is certified in Limited Assistance Representation ("LAR") in the Probate and Family Court Department. She handles cases for full representation, in a limited fashion through LAR, and on a reduced-fee basis for individuals who are financially eligible.
Attorney Withers was named as an "Up and Coming Lawyer" at the Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly's 2014 Excellence in the Law event.
