Judge Isaac Borenstein(Ret.) is a Visiting Professor of Law (2014-2015), and during 2013-2014 was a Visiting Lecturer in Law, both at Suffolk Law School. He has also been a full and part time law professor, lecturer in law and adjunct professor at Northeastern University School of Law, Boston University School of Law, New England School of Law and the clinical program at Harvard Law School. He taught in the 2014 summer program at the University of Lund, Sweden and in January, 2015 in a first of its kind took 24 Suffolk Law School students for an intensive intersession program on negotiation and mediation at the U.of Havana School of Law, in conjunction with The Mediation Group in Brookline, MA. with whom he is also associated. He has won multiple awards as a law professor from both Suffolk and Northeastern Universities. His subjects have included Evidence, Criminal Procedure, Constitutional Law, Criminal Law, and Trial Advocacy.
He was also a highly regarded Superior Court Judge in MA. for 16 years, and before that a Judge of the Lawrence District Court, also in MA., for 6 years. He presided over more than 300 jury trials, criminal and civil, handling some of the most complex issues facing a ttisl judge. These included murder, rape and other felonies, and on the civil side, wrongful death, personal injury, malpractice, commercial and business litigation, civil rights and discrimination, products liability, construction suits, eminent domain and others. He also handled and issued decisions in hundreds of complex pre trial motions such as summary judgement, dismissal, suppression of evidence, and others. He was well-known for his ability to resolve cases thru alternative dispute resolution.
Judge Borenstein has been an accomplished trial and appellate lawyer, handling civil and criminal cases in both state and federal court. He is a member of the Florida Bar(1976) and the Massachusetts Bar(1979). He has been of Counsel to the law firm of Kajko, Weisman, Colasanti and Stein, LLP, in Lexington, MA., since September 2011. Judge Borenstein is available as counsel in criminal and civil litigation, on both trial and appellate work, at this law firm and on mediation and arbitration matters at The Mediation Group in Brookline, MA.

Doesn't stay at a law firm long enough to use up his first order of business cards
