Richard A. Michienzi

Avoid Richard Michienzi at all costs. As an ex-friend of his, I asked him to handle the estate of my late uncle, of which I was an heir. Taxes were due on the estate nine months after my uncle's death, and Michienzi completely ignored that fact, while costing the estate over 150k in federal and sta...te penalties. Once he realized how stupid of an error he made, he stopped returning my phone calls and emails. Aside from handling the affairs of a small estate where no taxes are involved, he is completely incompetent to handle any matter concerning the disposition of an estate. He was too unprofessional to even admit any errors at all. Michienzi assumed that my wife was going to handle the estate’s taxes, even though she never said she would and admittedly would not know where to begin. He let the nine month waiting period to pay an estate’s taxes slide by without any mention of it, and refused to accept responsibility for this egregious error, and he cost the estate a 150k penalty.
