Landlord or Tenant 90%

I represent landlords and tenants in summary process evictions, civil cases, security deposit recovery cases, and many other landlord/tenant-related matters. I also am available for Limited Assistance Representation (LAR), through which I represent clients at a particular hearing or mediation/negotiation rather than for the duration of an entire case. In situations where you need an attorney for a limited purpose, LAR can be very cost-effective.

Landlord with Tenant issue

I had a situation where a tenant did not inform me of an issue with my property for many months and did not relay in any detail what was the sporadic issue. Instead a lawyer relative of the tenant decided to complain on their behalf in great detail with possible legal action and compensation requirem...ents. This was after many months of an apparent issue that I had not been informed about by the non-communicative tenant. I was very concerned as it was all a big shock to me due to the long delay in the tenant communicating and I felt unsure of the next steps and what could happen to me legally. And of course I wanted to know my rights at this point in time. I needed a lawyer quickly who understood all the legal possibilities as a Landlord and as I have moved from the area I had to decide by searching online. I chose Chris based solely on all the great AVVO reviews he has had on his website and his specialty. I was able to send him detailed emails and had some lengthy conversations to get him up to speed with the correspondence I had received. Chris immediately put me at ease with his professionalism and sympathetic manner; he calmly read all my correspondence and made notes about my predicament. Chris went through all the possible scenarios and ways to handle different situations. He prepared me for all future situations but made sure we addressed all current possibilities without having to escalate the situation. For all continuing correspondence, Chris created replies and advised me on every step of the process and continued to defend my rights as a Landlord. Through Chris’s guidance I was able to resolve the issue satisfactorily. I highly recommend Chris to any Landlord/tenant who is having any kind of issue regarding leasing/renting property.

Integrity - Excellence -- Dedication

We reached out to Chris in regards to a dispute we were having with our former landlord. Chris promptly connected with us to understand the details and review our documentation. He clearly explained all of our options and potential outcomes. He was so patient with us and our lack of knowledge with ...legal terminology. He was always accessible and always kept us in the loop and up to date as the case progressed--we really appreciated that! Things were a bit challenging with the former landlord but Chris was always one step ahead. He is extremely knowledgeable, personable and professional! We are so appreciative of his time and expertise. We truly enjoyed working with Chris! I would highly recommend Chris to anyone seeking help with the justice system.

Knowledgeable Communicator

Faced with a difficult situation I turned to Attorney Christopher Saccardi for help. During our initial meetings he set my expectations for possible outcomes and we reviewed a strategy to get the best possible solution for me. Throughout the entire process Chris was very forthcoming and knowledgeable.... He discussed all of the potential stumbling blocks and we worked through Plan Bs. The most important thing Chris helped me with was patience. At time when I would become extremely frustrated at the situation he would calmly help diffuse whatever was going on. His patience was invaluable. In the end I got the best possible outcome that neither of us really expected. I would definitely use Chris again in the future if I am faced with a similar situation.

Navigating the Landlord/Tenant laws in MA

I called a few lawyers regarding a tenant who was chronically late with rent payments. No one returned my call. Chris Saccardi returned my calls promptly (if he could not answer immediately), presented options for making the best decisions considering the circumstances, and treated everyone involv...ed with patience and understanding. Chris kept me updated on his side of the situation by either phone or email. Luckily we did not have to take this to court as my tenant left "voluntarily". I high recommend Chris Saccardi to anyone facing landlord/tenant problems. Thanks, Chris!

GREAT attorney.

Chris helped me recover an illegal deduction from my security deposit and interested on a security deposit that was not deposited in an escrow account. He was efficient, supportive and empathetic to my concerns. Highly recommend Chris.

"I have known Attorney Saccardi for several years though his work at the Boston Housing Court. Having seen him working with clients, his passion and commitment is evident from the first interaction. In front of the judge, during hearings, his depth of knowledge of the law and professional demeanor earn him the respect of his colleagues. I have seen Attorney Saccardi at court almost every week since I first met him a few years ago. He has represented clients in mediation and negotiated favorable settlements in a large number of cases over the years. In addition he has a wide range of court room experience from motions through jury trial. His work earned him recognition from the VLP of the Boston Bar Association and the 2010 Denis Maguire Pro Bono Award for extraordinary service. I have, and will continue to, personally recommend his services to several clients."

"Chris and I have volunteered together for nearly two years with the Volunteer Lawyer's Project of the Boston Bar Association at their Lawyer For The Day table in Boston Housing Court. There I've observed Chris both in-court and with clients, and I offer my endorsement of his work there without reservation. He is, in a word, fearless. He's never afraid to take a client, to advocate a difficult position, or do what has to be done. What's more, he gets results, in the form of both victory at trial and favorable settlement agreements. Finally, he's just a genuinely good, caring, person who is a pleasure to work with. As such, and again, I offer Chris my highest endorsement and recommend him without reservation."
