Biography
Through jury trials, arbitrations and settlements, I have regularly obtained significant results for my clients, including my firm Sugarman & Sugarman, P.C.'s largest medical malpractice award in 2016 and a $30.55 million verdict in 2019 with my partner Ben Zimmermann, which is among the highest medical malpractice verdicts in Massachusetts history. I have represented clients in claims involving wrongful death and serious injury in a broad range of civil practice, including claims resulting from defective consumer products, motor vehicles and industrial equipment, medical negligence, construction site negligence, motor vehicle accidents, and other complex litigation claims. In addition, I have represented clients in such diverse areas of civil practice as arbitration proceedings relating to corporate stock manipulation, a breach of contract case on behalf of a member of a world-renowned band, and loss of business income cases.
I joined Sugarman as an associate in 2003 and became a principal of the firm in 2011.
