She’ll ghost you right into oblivion, failing to release so much as an invoice, then will cut you loose with worthless ...generalizations. (Which don’t even pertain to others’ scenarios.) Note, please, that I write this as a former copy editor of law-reference texts, and as a former proofreader at a top NY law firm. In short, it’s not as though I were forever lost in the legal jjargon. And it’s all via phone. Next, she’ll tell you how hard she’s been working on your case. You get virtually no written insights, much less answers to specific questions you’ve raised. She’s probably friends with your adversary. In my case, was also that attorney’s former boss. I had told her all the dirty tricks that man had pulled. No doubt, he’d learned them from Lisa Dearest. When it all comes crashing down, she’ll pretend you hadn’t given her enough to go on. Then comrs another bill two or three weeks later, and another in two or three months more. Horrifically high-priced, too! Relative to what she deserves, calling this unscrupulous cretin godawful amounts to heaping praise her way.
