Biography
I am a trial lawyer in Boston, Massachusetts, where I concentrate my practice in personal injury, insurance company bad faith, bicycle accidents, construction accidents, and professional liability litigation, primarily for plaintiffs. I also represents businesses in litigation, and represents attorneys in partnership disputes and other professional matters.
My goal is to provide the best service I can to my clients, and to work closely with them to win their cases.
I recently served as the President of the Massachusetts Bar Association, which represents lawyers of all practices around the state. I have been actively promoting reform of the criminal sentencing system and drug policy, and I have also been promoting greater environmental consciousness for attorneys through energy conservation and reductions in resource use.
I have received a number of recognitions and awards for my work, including and AV Rating from Martindale Hubbel, I was named one of the Lawyers of the Year by Lawyers Weekly Newspaper in 2004. I have consistently been named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer in the field of plaintiff's personal injury law by the publishers of Boston Magazine since 2004, incluind Top 100 Lawyers in Massachusetts and New England for several years. I have a perfect "10" rating from Avvo. I received the President's Award from the Massachusetts Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers in 2008 for my advocacy on sentencing reform issues. I am a Life Fellow of the Massachusetts Bar Foundation.
